Hi @thelpi,
Thanks for the update. That’s strange, but I’m glad to hear it’s working now! We’ll be happy to help if anything else comes up.
Best regards,
LouisHi @jfbeaulieu420,
Thanks for contacting us! Due to the rules of this forum, we can only provide support for our free plugins here. Could you submit a case here on our website so we can assist with this issue related to the Pro version?
Thanks!
LouisHi @dabeecher,
Thank you for contacting us! It’s possible there was a problem during the installation or an update of the plugin. If you deactivate and delete the plugin (while WordPress Dashboard > Instagram Feed > Settings > Preserve settings if plugin is removed is disabled), this will recreate the required database tables. Please note you would need to reconnect your Instagram account source and recreate your feed after this.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,Hi @thelpi,
It’s my pleasure to help! I’m not sure about that; I checked if I could find any reference to this being a recent change, but I did not see anything. Generally though we’ve found that using an API key works more smoothly than the connected YouTube account method.
Best regards,
Hi @thelpi,
Thanks for sharing this. I did some testing on this and it appears YouTube is limiting the number of videos that can be retreived when you use the connected YouTube account method instead of an API key. I tried creating a feed for your channel first with a connected YouTube account and it also only showed two pages of videos. Then I switched to an API key and it allowed me to load many more pages of videos.
Unfortunately YouTube’s API won’t retrieve unlisted videos for a Channel feed for either connection method, so I would suggest connecting with an API key to still get the most videos possible.
I hope this helps!
Best regards,
LouisHi @thelpi,
Thank you for contacting us! There is no specific limit on the number of videos you can display in a feed for the free version. Could you share a link to the YouTube channel you are using in the feed so we can take a closer look at this?
Best regards,
LouisHi @tye,
Thank you for contacting us! This can happen if you are using the same Facebook profile to connect both sites but you gave the Smash Balloon app permissions for only one specific Facebook page. You can resolve this with the steps in this guide: https://smashballoon.com/doc/facebook-pages-im-admin-of-arent-listed-after-authorizing-plugin/.
I hope this helps!

LouisHi @kennyll,
Thank you for contacting us! Other than caching issues, another possibility is problems with the WP-Cron functionality in WordPress that is used to run background tasks such as updating the feed. You can test adding
cachetime=60
to the shortcode you are using to add the Facebook feed to your page. This will use an alternate method of updating the feed.
Issues that prevent feed updates can be specific to the site though, so if this does not resolve the issue, please send us a support request through our website here and we’ll be happy to take a closer look and help with this.

LouisHi @bulletrainy,
Thanks for contacting us! Our plugins don’t have any feature for adding a video background, but many page builders give you the ability to use a video as a background for a section, and there are also plugins made to help with this like: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-backgrounds/.
If you place the Twitter feed in a section with a video background and set the background colors of the Twitter feed to be transparent, the video background would show through.
I hope this helps! If you need any other assistance, please let us know.
Best regards,
LouisHi Jaap,
Thanks for the update! I checked our inbox and can confirm we received your support ticket. We will send you another reply there shortly.
Thanks!
LouisHi @hitec4ever,
Thank you for contacting us! Please try going to the Apps and Websites settings directly from Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/) , remove the Smash Balloon Social Personal permission, and then remove and reconnect your account from WordPress Dashboard > Instagram Feed > Settings > Manage Sources.
I hope this helps! If this does not resolve the issue we’ll need to see some more specific information from the plugin, so in that case please send us a support request through our website here.
Best regards,
LouisHi @ravennce,
Great news and thanks for the updates! It was my pleasure to help, and please let us know if you ever need any other assistance in the future.
Best regards,
LouisHi @letyle,
Thank you for contacting us! We don’t limit the number of Instagram accounts you can connect or feeds you can create, so this wouldn’t be a problem!
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
Louis
