Hi @demonboy,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. The keys here don’t need to come from any existing setting, they just need to be unique and they shouldn’t be changed once they are set. You could use a tool like this to generate the values.
You would need to define two entries in the wp-config.php file, one for SBI_ENCRYPTION_KEY and one for SBI_ENCRYPTION_SALT. You can use the existing logged_in_salt and logged_in_key lines for an example of the format.
I hope that helps, and if I can provide any more guidance, just let me know.
Best regards,
Louis
Hi Ramzii,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. A good way to test if this will work as expected for you in the Pro version is to try it with our demo here: https://smashballoon.com/custom-twitter-feeds/demo/
You can enter your screen name there to see how it would work in the Pro version. Let me know if it works for you there, or if you have any other questions, and I’ll be happy to help further.
Best regards,
Louis
Hi @developer9731,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. I just tested this on your page, but for me the Load More button was working correctly: https://a.supportally.com/YAFjq1. If you’re still seeing a problem with this on your end, could you open a case via our support form here and include the System Info from the Support tab of the plugin settings?
Best regards,
Louis
Hi Reggie,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. If you’re seeing this same issue when you test other Instagram plugins, it does seem likely that the API response is only returning that one post. One thing to note is that certain types of posts such as Instagram Reels aren’t currently available through Instagram’s API.
If you would like to send us a support ticket here, we could take a closer look at any other possible issues that might be related to the problem. Please make sure you send the System Info from the Support tab of the plugin.
Best regards,
Louis
Hi @@tiagoxpl,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. Sometimes either issues with migrating your site or security plugins can cause this issue. To correct this, please add and define the following in the wp-config.php file for the site:
SBI_ENCRYPTION_KEY
SBI_ENCRYPTION_SALTYou would use the same format as the logged_in_salt and logged_in_key in that file. The important part is to make sure the values for the two SBI items above matches on both the local and production site if you use separate ones. Once they are set, do not change them. You may need to reconnect the Instagram account(s) to the plugin after this change but moving forward this should hopefully resolve the issue you are having.
If this does not resolve the problem, please send us a support ticket here and we’ll be happy to assist further.
Best regards,
Louis

In reply to: [Custom Twitter Feeds - A Tweets Widget or X Feed Widget] Avatar not shownHi @matdeweb,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. This is most likely due to the GDPR mode being enabled. You can disable the GDPR settings by going to WordPress Dashboard > Twitter Feeds > Customize > Misc and setting Enable GDPR Settings to No and click Save Changes. Alternatively, you can leave this setting on Automatic and install one of the compatible GDPR cookie compliance plugins listed here: https://smashballoon.com/doc/custom-twitter-feeds-gdpr-compliance/?twitter
I hope this information is helpful. If this does not resolve the issue, please open a support case here and include the System Info that can be found on the Support tab of the plugin settings.
Best regards,
Louis

In reply to: [Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed – Easy Social Feeds Plugin] long lived tokenHi @macpheek,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. In this case, you would want to connect your account as a Business Profile as this type of connection has the most stable connection. We have a guide on setting this up here: https://smashballoon.com/doc/instagram-business-profiles/?instagram
With a Personal account connection, it should be automatically renewed, but the business profile connection would be the best option. The only connection that would normally expire every 60 days is a Personal connection to a private profile – those have to be manually reconnected and do not have a long-lived token.
If you have any trouble setting up a Business Profile or continue to see issues with access tokens, please send us a support request here and we’ll be happy to assist further with this.

Louis
Hi @hdev28272671,
Thanks for the update. In your second screenshot that is labeled “Manage Future Activity”, this is where your client needs to activate the “Future Off-Facebook Activity” setting that is currently disabled. Due to limitations in Facebooks’s API, our plugin cannot work with the account unless this is enabled. You can see more detailed information about this setting here: https://www.facebook.com/help/1224342157705160
Should you have any additional issues or questions, don’t hesitate to let us know.
Best regards,
Louis
Hi @hyperbrand,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. Please try going to Instagram Feed > Customize and in the Misc section, enable the Are you using an Ajax powered theme? setting and click Save Changes.
If this does not resolve the issue, please try adding the following code to the Custom JavaScript input that is also in the Misc section of that settings page:
setTimeout(function() { var resizeEvent = window.document.createEvent('UIEvents'); resizeEvent .initUIEvent('resize', true, false, window, 0); window.dispatchEvent(resizeEvent); },500);
If neither of these options resolves the issue for you, please reach out to us via our support form here and we can investigate this more closely for you.
Best regards,
Louis
Hi @nascas,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. The Pro version of the plugin has this built into the customization options, but we have a guide here that can help you set this up with CSS in the free version.
I hope you’re having a great week, and please let me know if I can help with any other questions or concerns!
Best regards,
Louis
Hi @ron22,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. First just to be clear, this information is for the free version of our Facebook feed plugin (because this topic is in the Instagram feed forum), but yes, the free version of the Facebook feed plugin only allows you to display text and links from Facebook posts (here is a screenshot from the description: https://a.supportally.com/hCkAsE).
Please let me know if I can help with any other questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Louis
Hi @crosstherubicon,
Could you reach out to us via our support form here: https://smashballoon.com/youtube-feed/support/ and include the “System Info” from your the Support tab of the plugin settings? We’ll be better able to resolve the issue with that information.
It’s possible that this is due to a conflict with another plugin, but we’ll be able to help you get it resolved more quickly with a support ticket.
Best regards,
Louis

Hi @hdev28272671,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. There haven’t been any changes to our plugin or WordPress core that would cause this issue, but due to how the Instagram/Facebook API works, if the future off-Facebook activity setting is disabled on your client’s account, they cannot use our Instagram or Facebook apps to display the feed. In order to connect the account and display the feed, you will have to connect using a Facebook account or Instagram account with its connected Facebook account that does have this enabled. There is currently no way around this since it is a limitation in the API directly, which we can not affect.
You can find detailed information about the off-Facebook activity here: https://www.facebook.com/help/1224342157705160
Should you have any additional issues or questions, don’t hesitate to let us know.
Best regards,
Hi @oscowordpress1,
Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. To clear all the Instagram account data, in the latest version of the plugin you can go to WordPress Dashboard > Instagram Feed > Customize, and at the bottom of the page click the Delete all Platform Data button.
This will not reset all customization options in the plugin, unfortunately. The only way to do this safely is to go to the Configure tab, ensure the Preserve settings when the plugin is removed setting is off, then deactivate and remove the plugin, and install again.
Please let me know if I can answer any other questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Louis
