Thanks for everyones help. I wasn’t able to fix this, so I went with the dirty hack – created another DB and made a 2nd install of WP in the sub directory – had it up and running in 5 minutes.
Thanks for the help again.
@andrea_r: What do you mean by “SUB sites” – like from the dashboard of smokeymaverick.com or dashboard of my 2nd site I should find a menu option of Tools -> Domain Mapping? Is that what you mean by the SUB sites? If so, I can’t get to the dashboard for my 2nd site… would anyone know where I could look to debug this and maybe tweak some configurations to try and get the piping in the background all looking in the right place?
Hopefully it will magically fix itself Akshay2598, but I’m not counting on it. I’ll just start with my backup plan around Tues night if I can’t get Multi Sites working- I’ll just make another installation of WP in the sub directory for the 2nd site.
Ipestenu: Mapping Plugin: WordPress MU Domain Mapping (v. Version 0.5.4.1 | By Donncha O Caoimh)
Where would I find the box/option to check to redirect the wp-admin side?
Thanks.
Thanks for responses guys.
Ipstenu: Screenshot of my Network Admin -> All Sites page. Again shows 3 sites there…
Andrea_r: I wasn’t on my one site’s dashboard – I was on my Network Admin’s dashboard, which I’d assume would show all of my sites… so it should show 3 sites and 1 user (I only have 1 user setup in my WP install, and I’d be the admin on all 3 sites). In fact – completely strange, I’ve changed nothing with my WP configuration since last night – and now it is CORRECTLY showing 3 sites 1 user?! Strange, but ok… that’s what I expected to see.
Anywho, the background piping is still not correct – for when I’m on my Network Admin -> All Sites page, and try to click the Dashboard link to go to the sites WP Admin dashboard, I get an Internal Server Error.
So that’s my current problem – somewhere my Multisite is not hooking up my subdomain folder of my 2nd blag/site with my primary WP installation. The dirty hack would be to just install another instance of WP in the subdirectory, the way it’d have to be done before multisite – but this is what I get for trying to do it the right, clean way I guess ??
