In reply to: [Theme My Login] Can’t loginThe message shown is “logged out” (on the themed login) but actually I’m logged in it just seems to refresh the login page as it couldn’t get to wp-admin which wrongly displays the logged out message. Looks like redirection plugin might be the key for a few $s.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Can’t loginThe problem is that the plugin redirects to wp-admin by default.. right? As such if I make wp-admin not accessible is doesn’t know where to go and seems to just refresh the current (login) page.
It used to redirect subscribers to the home page and admins to wp-admin.
Can’t find any setting to do that in version 7 but did notice the “redirect” extension that would seem to suggest I’d need that to do what I want… unless I’m missing something of course?
Many thanks.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Can’t loginIs the because of the need to now buy a redirect extension?

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Custom Login Error MessagesAh I see… my question is subtly different in that TML should use the redirect settings we give it in the links in the error messages also… rather than us having to create our own custom messages. Perhaps someone involved in TML could advise if my issue is a bug, ommision, or have I missed a setting?

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Custom Login Error MessagesWhat a coincidence. I have a client who just noticed that the links in the error messages (when you get password wrong etc) point to the root and do not use the links setup on the TML Redirection settings. I’m having to CSS remove the links from the error message until can figure out how to get TML to do it.
Bug or am I missing a setting or switch somewhere in TML to do this?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Adminimize] Global options : hides admin bar for multi role usersThanks Frank,
I’m doing some deeper digging, I think it might be a conflict of a few settings / role combinations. It’s possible I may need to figure out a way to control visibility with finer granularity than I can with my current setup.

I did try that before without joy. Will try it again.

In reply to: [Adminimize] Global options : hides admin bar for multi role usersHi @bueltge,
It was all fine. This is only in the global settings section. If I disable the admin bar for any one role (even though the user has multiple where I have not disabled it) the admin bar is hidden (front end and backend). So:
– User has Role1, Role2, Role3.
Disable admin bar in global for Role3 and even though the user has the other roles where it is not disabled it vanishes. I’ve trawled the other setting in case I had a conflict but can’t see anything, especially as it was working.
Thanks.
So, I’ve been running this in multisite as above for a while and this issue has only come about with a recent updates to BP / BPforLD. But what your saying (correct me if I’m wrong) is that I need to deactive BP and BPforLD at the network level and then go through each site within the network and activate them at the site level instead.
So although this is a multisite setup I treat BP and BPforLD at the site level? Do you think that will resolve it? Are there any risks with temporaily de-activating at network level and reactivating at site?
I also have social learner in place.
Thanks.
Tried again this evening, same error, same outcome. Altered the setting on the BP Plugin settings page at network level.
Do I really need to enable groups?
So some are network and some are on single site as per the instructions i received from you guys when first setting up the network:
BuddyPress = Network
Leandash LMS = Network
BuddyPress for Learndash = SiteIt is a multi site and yes those three are active, thanks.
Sorry @buddyboss, that’s not really an answer to my original question as enabling group component causes the error I posted originally. Maybe it will work for @syrehn but for me it crashed the site with no obvious way to roll back without reverting to a backup.
Obviously I want to be able to update to the latest versions and the fear of this happening again is blocking that.
Please advise. Either giving confidence to try again or with a solution if the issue re-occurs.
Thanks.
