In reply to: [WooCommerce] Tax based on Product CategoryHi @fabuni
Thanks for getting back to us with your question. The tax class does have to be set per product when adding products to the site.
One option to reduce the workload when doing this is to bulk edit the products and apply tax class. To do this you could filter to a specific category (if that category has its own tax class) you could then select the products en masse and apply the tax class following the steps below:
https://woocommerce.com/document/bulk-editing-products/
Hopefully, this helps point you in the right direction, but please do let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
Hi @mbofbi
Thanks for reaching out, sorry you’re not seeing all of your products synced to Facebook using Facebook for WooCommerce. I noticed that you mentioned this is also impacting your Instagram store, which this plugin does not support syncing for.
If you’re using this plugin to sync to Instagram this may be the issue you’re encountering. If you take a look here:
https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#connect-your-facebook-account
Below the getting started section here you’ll see a note in yellow that instructs to leave Instagram shopping deselected when configuring the connection. If this was left enabled let’s go ahead and re-do the setup without the Instagram option and see if you’re still seeing the same issue. You can follow the steps in the article linked below to remove and restart the process:
https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce-how-to-re-connect/
If this resolves the issue you can then look into an integration to sync with Instagram such as WooCommerce Instagram:
https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-instagram/
Please let us know how this goes!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Suddenly can’t connectHi @nhtshot
From what @captainswallow has described it sounds like it was indeed an issue with the ShortPixel plugin and if you’re not using this you are likely seeing something different on your site. Per the forums guidelines if you can please open up your own thread we’ll be more than happy to help you look into this.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Issue with WooCommerce Shipping PostcodesHi @benshadham,
Thank you for the screenshot and for letting us know this didn’t resolve the issue. Let’s go ahead with the update to see if this resolves the issue, I’ll be glad to walk you through that process:
To perform the update please head to your dashboard and hover on the WooCommerce menu on the left-hand side and select “Status”. Once you’ve clicked on Status you should be taken to a page where you can access your status report, at the top of that same page you’ll see different tabs and want to click on “Tools”.
Once you’ve done the above you should now be on the Tools page for your site where you’ll see a list of different tools and actions you can run, you want to scroll down that list until you see the option to update the database. Click update database and let the process complete, once it is done please check again and let us know the results.
Thank you!

To help us look into why this may be happening could you please send us a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply.
Thank you!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] woocommerce storefront and showing advanced custom fieldsThis is a fairly complex development topic. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.
I can also recommend the following places for more development-oriented questions:
- WooCommerce Slack Community: https://woocommerce.com/community-slack/
- WooCommerce Community group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/advanced.woocommerce/
Thanks for reaching out, it’s difficult for us to say if a custom snippet will have a specific result as we don’t know the functionality or design of the snippet and how it may impact the plugin overall. If you believe this may be the cause of duplication occurring on your site we’d recommend removing the snippet to test as this should allow you to confirm whether or not it is responsible.
Please let us know if you have further questions!

In reply to: [Google for WooCommerce] Last update caused problems in site’s functionsHi there @jkont
Thanks for reaching out, sorry to hear it sounds like you’re having some trouble since the most current update to the plugin and we’ll be glad to take a look.
To help us investigate I’d like to request a few details, namely, could you please send us a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply.
Once we have that we’ll be glad to take a look!
Thanks for reaching out, sorry to hear your Stripe fields aren’t appearing as expected. Issues of this nature are often related to a theme or plugin conflict.
The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront (https://woocommerce.com/storefront/?aff=10486&cid=1131038) and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Strip. Then test to see if the issue is resolved.
To figure out which plugin is causing the problem – reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.
Here’s a more extensive explanation in our docs: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
Please let us know how that goes.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooCommerce Payments plugin giving critical errorHi @enricolino
Thanks for the information, I do see you mentioned you had done some testing but am glad to know a conflict test was performed.
Since you found WooCommerce Payments appears to be the culprit, can you please set the theme to Storefront, disable ALL plugins aside from WooCommerce and WooCommerce Payments, then reproduce the error.
Once you’ve done this please send us a screenshot of the error and please check for any new logs generated at WooCommerce > status > logs. Since we know the issue appears to be with WooCommerce Payments the issue should still occur in this state and removing the other items temporarily will help limit actions on the site and hopefully target the issue for logging.
Once that’s done please let us know and we’ll be glad to help further!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooCommerce Payments plugin giving critical errorHi @enricolino
Thank you for providing that log that’s a big help. Given that we’re seeing errors of this nature I think it would be prudent to check for possible conflicts that may be resulting in the issues you’re seeing.
The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to:
1. Temporarily switch your theme to [Storefront](https://woocommerce.com/storefront/?aff=10486&cid=1131038) or [Twenty Twenty](https://www.ads-software.com/themes/twentytwenty/) theme.
2. Try to reproduce the problem.?
If the problem is resolved, it’s a theme conflict. If not, continue to the next steps.
3. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce. You can do this manually or use a plugin to help.
4. Try to reproduce the problem again. If the problem is resolved, it’s a plugin conflict. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step.
5. Reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. For more detailed instructions, check out [How to test for plugin and theme conflicts](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/).
Please let us know how that goes.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Two different order overviewsHi @mcian
Thanks for those, I’d agree they don’t look immediately related to what we have going on here. I’d like to get a look at a few more details about the site and check for any red flags, could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply.
Thanks!
Hi @uwd
