Hi @derrickg72,
Brad, I went and did the update to the latest release on my test site and everything went as smooth as glass! So I am very excited to make those updates to my live site!
I’m very happy to see that the update went well for you and you’re going to deploy these changes to your live site.
I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as solved for now, if you find you encounter any issues or have any concerns please reach out and let us know!
Hi @derrickg72,
My question is would there be possible update issues when upgrading from version 3.4.8 to version 5.5.2.
We would not anticipate any problems updating to the most current version of WooCommerce, however, we do recommend making a good backup before performing any extensive task on your site, in the event of unexpected trouble.
I would also recommend doing a quick review of your installed plugins as well, since your version of WooCommerce is a little older, you may also have some older plugins that could be impacted by the change or require an update.
Is it possible to do individual backups instead of a huge jump?
To make sure I’m understanding, do you mean making backups as you progress through the update process? Or are you referring to the idea of updating to more current versions in stages? (i.e. 4.0, then 4.5, then 5.0, etc.)
If it is the latter as I suspect, you would only get the latest version when going to your dashboard and selecting to update the plugin.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions. ??
Hi there @umutusu,
I’m sorry to see you’re encountering some difficulty with Facebook for WooCommerce and Pixel.
I don’t even know where to start.
I don’t even know who am I writing to.
Facebook? Skyverge?Just to ensure it’s clear who you may speak with on this thread:
This forum is a community forum, your post is visible to folks like me, a Happiness Engineer, folks from different developer partners, fellow community members, etc.
There is not one single document, not even one, none, where it explains in what order we have to do things and we shouldn’t.
We do offer documentation for the setup and configuration for Facebook for WooCommerce, I have linked it below but it sounds like you may have encountered it previously from your post:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/
The documentation does go over the standard steps to take for configuration/installation, however, it sounds like you may have run into a specific issue. Documentation for plug-ins, in general, is not as specific as you may be looking for as it is not able to account for all possible site configurations or issues encountered.
If you’d like to make a post about the issue you’ve run into or share some more specific information about where the problem is occurring we would be happy to assist.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Product ID is combined with product SKUHi @egocefalo,
the imported product ID (on facebook shop) its a combination of the product sku and the product ID, so on facebook the product’s ID shows as skunumber-productid and this is causing an event content ID issue.
So to confirm what is going on, right now you have a SKU and a Product ID set up, once the product syncs the data is combined to give the product an ID like product-123-456. Is it also creating duplicate products or no?
So I guess that what is needed is to at least disable the importing of the SKU or of the product ID, as I understand facebook will accept any of them but not a combination of both.
I want to clarify here what you’re aiming to do, the Facebook Catalogue uses the ID field to identify the product and doesn’t maintain a separate field specifically for a SKU, they instead recommend using the SKU for the ID.
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/commerce-platform/catalog/fields/#universal-basic-attributes
Is your goal to have a separate product ID and SKU field when adding the products to the catalogue? Or are you looking for a way to not have to limit fields? Depending on the specific thing you want to do it might be a good idea to check out product feed pro as it might offer some of what you’re looking for.
I’ve found my own way. Thank you.
Thank you for letting us know you were able to reach a resolution, I’ll go ahead and mark this topic as complete. Please reach out if we can be of any assistance!

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Can’t link plugin to FacebookHi @petar777!
Sorry to hear you’re encountering issues getting this set up.
To start I’d recommend checking out this section of the Facebook for WooCommerce support docs, this error typically points to a problem with supported currencies on Facebook and can often be resolved by changing the default currency type if necessary.
If this doesn’t resolve the issue please check for any errors logged – go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs, and look for Facebook in the dropdown, then click on View.
Let us know what you find if needed and we’ll be happy to help further.
