ah ok. I checked the “Show avatars’ button and it’s selected. I guess I need to checkout some avatar plugins then.

I’ve tried disabling all pluggins and changing the theme but nothing will make the avatars reappear. Only the default image is shown (the silhouette person).

It’s odd that they were working before the upgrade and I didn’t add any pluggins or change the theme at that time.

I can’t remember where you upload a custom avatar, is it on the profile page? If so, the option to upload a custom avatar is not shown now.

thanks buddy. disabled all pluggins earlier to no avail. Will try the theme later (although it hasn’t changed and is the same theme I was using with 2.7.1

I’m looking to a solution to this problem. Looks like I’ll have to investigate alternative blogging software though if this is somebodys idea of ‘resolved’!

One guy mentions that he may have found a work around by editing one of the style sheets… he doesn’t mention where he found the work around or which stylesheet it should be applied too and there is no formal reply from anyone technical here to confirm that it will fix this critical bug! AND THIS IS RESOLVED???
