all you have to do is go to the settings area- click reading – select the static homepage the chose which pages you want your homepage and blog to showup as.

This may or maynot make you load times faster. To do this you may want to cache your pages using
W3 Total Cache plugin

Go to settings – to reading- click the display post radio button

the icons should be in the image folder in the theme folder in your websites folder in your cpanel.

rename the new image to the names of the old images and upload them to the folder.

You can put these links in the footer or if you want to create something more complex you can create a footer menu with the Menu on footer plugin

I would try to save any changes I made to the CSS into notepad, delete the theme then reinstall it. Then slowly add the changes back one at a time to pin down what’s causing the issue.

Try going to your admin section, settings, reading then clicking on your latest posts in the Front page displays.

Were you just trying to migrated the data or were you also trying to migrate the site layout as well?

I would go with wordpress its more flexible and there are a lot a free solutions for the booking the events and venues which will keep down the the development costs.

Seriously just use woocommerce – its easy to setup, an all-in-on solution, it allows you to have a gallery and you can streamline the checkout process if you want to make it simpler.
