In reply to: [Ultimate WP Query Search Filter] Ajax doesn't workOh I have a clue about the div. Can it be that it is not about me choosing freely how I want to name it (for CSS styling) but that I need to set a specific one, an existing one of my HTML structure? If yes than this was the point of incomplete understanding from my part. Will try it now…

In reply to: [List category posts] Suggestion: Button for creating shortcode in the editorMay I ask if my suggestions have stood unnoticed or if they are considered to implement?
I also have made my first multilanguage website that works with different domains even, so the english content is at sundari-webdesign.com while the german section is at sundari-webdesign.de. Polylang makes this easily possible, but still I wonder how to handle this in Webmastertools and Analytics. I added the german version now as an own property to WMT, putting the verification metatag manually into the header area. But the sitemap for the german part I have create manually at the moment, because AIOSEOP only lists the .com pages. (which in my case is good I guess). But how should AIOSEOP create the sitemaps in such a scenario? I would not even know by now and hope one day the plugin takes care for it in the best way. I love it, thanks for this tremendous great work.

In reply to: [Advanced Editor Tools] Paragraph and Line breaks removedEdit: I realized now that actually the autop is still on, because the old posts are still rendered correctly with paragraphs in the frontend. But when opening a post in the edit, then they are not added into the visual and text editor. Which I think to remember the plugin was doing in the past, isn’t it?

In reply to: [Advanced Editor Tools] Paragraph and Line breaks removedHello Imilesw, hello Andrew,
I use this function since years on all my sites because the text editor with tags stripped out is pure nonsense for any webdesigner in my opinion. Why didn’t WP leave it as HTML Editor? Anyhow this function puts it back into one and I love it.
But as far as I remember, in the past I could activate this function also on sites where I have already written some posts before, meaning those posts had an empty line instead of a paragraph in the database. And yet after activating those posts where still displayed correctly, or do I remember wrongly?
Now the actual behaviour is that after activating the function, all old posts loose their paragraphs and line-breaks, because not only <p> and is not stripped out anymore when creating a new post, but autop is disabled by it as well and existing posts who don’t have any such tags in them simply … don’t have paragraphs and line-breaks.
If this is correct, it would mean that activating this option on an existing website will ruin each page as soon as you edit it – all p and br lost. Is this correct, Andrew?
This would mean that without activating it before any content creation it will always lead to that problem. It would be needed to “hardcode” into the database (with a script?) what WP autop does particularly while rendering the frontend. Did the plugin do it years ago, since I can’t remember such problems in the further past? Is there any way to activate this option on a website with existing content WITHOUT loosing the paragraphs and line-breaks?
Might it help if the tags are not removed anymore, but additionally wpautop stays active? It then would still render the existing posts properly, isn’t it?
Thanks for this wonderful plugin that is making the editor so … advanced, simply.
Thanks Pavel for reply. I meanwhile figured out a very good way to use the center of images even with the 300px version, and you are right, it is better to keep the big ones. Using the thumbnail size was just the only way I could think of when coming across the centering issue.
Read what I did with the help of a CSS technique, maybe you want to apply it as well in the core:

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] My Calendar QuestThanks Aristotel for the kind words as well. I am glad you like my work and maybe there is a chance for collaboration – Bradley contacted me recently so I guess you passed my site forward, thanks for this. So, maybe we will hear each other more often in the future. For sure I keep you up-to-date when I create new tutorials ??
All the best

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Facebook Events via Calendar Feed ICSI understand that Time.ly doesn’t give support for FB Integration.
But as it seems the available and supported Calendar feed option (which as a side-effect would also allow a FB integration workaround) is not working as it should. If you click on the link of my original post, you will be delivered a proper .ics with correct start and end time date, and Ai1 will import 10 events, but none of them takes the correct data as given by the .ics.
This is why I suppose there is a bug somewhere.
If the official team could test this it would be nice.
If anyone uses the calendar feed and it works properly, I would be glad for a link so I can investigate a bit if I find differences that might cause the failure.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Facebook Events via Calendar Feed ICSI heard about, but these guys still do the trick right here and now:
https://smashballoondemo.com/events/
So it is possible, or do I overlook something? But even if Ai1 doesn’t access FB directy, the calendar feed option should work in general. I guess that the .ics is kind of standardized, and if I check the .ics file that FB is transmitting via that feed, I find entries as
DTSTART:20160130T090000Z
DTEND:20160131T150000Z
in it, so the information about start and end date is there, but not taken correctly by Ai1 which simply put the actual date of import. This is not FB specific I guess, but I cannot find a way to import an event manually through an .ics file to test out more. Is there a chance to do so?
Or if someone has another feed link of his events where it works, I would be glad to check it out.Hello again,
I cannot replicate the issue anymore, since my last installations worked well on both webhosts in question. I guess they fixed something, or maybe the switch to php7 which they started to advertise makes a difference, I don’t know. So for the moment I can only be happy I can work as usual.
And one question of me got a bit lost in my adventure diary up there, I want to ask it once more:
“Thanks Cory for this amazing plugin and your great help. Since I don’t use pro but would like to support you, do you have a donation possibility as Paypal somewhere?”

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Facebook Integration?Thank you Bill.
Benjamin, are there plans to make it work again? That’s great to know, really of value then. For your own benefit I suggest to correct the list on the Core+ page where it is missing.
Have a great day.Hello Caimin, thanks for getting in touch.
I add the link again, where the other plugin is having this nice feature to show the description of the event in an opening tab, as it is often used for FAQs. I guess it is the wrong term, maybe “Toogle” is better. But you will see it here live:
https://diviplay.wptraining24.com/calendar/Also integrating a modul popup would be an option, for me it is just important that the guest doesn’t have to leave the site for seeing a bigger description of the event.
Can the formatting area of EM, there where I build the output (with #EVENT_NAME and these variables) contain also shortcodes of other plugins? In this case, I guess it would be easily constructed with the help of such additional plugins.
Wow, now I discovered that Strato, my first hoster that had the same problem, is even announcing moving WP with Duplicator. Interesting. That means I can bother them now officially, because they promise something that doesn’t work after all on their server ?? Great. Or maybe they fixed it meanwhile and that’s why my attempt yesterday morning worked suddenly.
Corey, congratulations, your plugin is trusted by germany’s biggest webhoster. I can also just say that it is a piece of art, and the issue will be solved in the near future.
