  • I have the same issue, and believe it is related to the one raised by Guru (@jafaloo) about the Customizer never loading. In my case, I decided to upgrade to PHP 7 and WordPress 8.1. Hueman was my development theme all along. I upgraded my plugins and all themes (except Members, which wanted a newer version of PHP), and then began the process. First, I tried out the upgrades on a skeletal site in xampp on my desktop, and everything went through fine. Then I tried on my development site, after first using the php compatibility checker plugin. It reported all fine with Hueman and the Addons; I disabled 2 items that had errors. Then I tried the update and got my first whitescreen. I brought the site toa previous php version (5.2), tried the 2017 theme, upgraded Members, and tried the site It was up in PHP 7.0.12.
Then back to Hueman, and whitescreen again. Several other browsers work with my configuration; only Hueman fails to load.
I have to wonder if it is fault of the latest revision (3.3.20). How can I go back a revision to test my theory? I was fine in 3.3.18, but that was under php5.2.

I also have acquired this problem, which really should not be marked a ‘solved’. Once the [clean-login-register] shortcode is entered it cannot be removed without a page error. My client decided not to have self-registration so I need to remove the attachment. Like imacg and minoxes, I cannot find the cl_* string in the options.php file. Any new suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the suggestions. I may in fact be needing a PHP upgrade and will try that first.

I have been using a staging site for development created for me on BlueHost when I installed WordPress. It worked beautifully. When I asked for help on setting up a live site, the chat helper created one for me that unfortunately did not deal with internal links. Having fixed that, I tried to use the staging site for some experiments, but could not access it. I can see the staging folder among my files but do not know how to access it. My second chat about this resulted in the “expert” simply leaving. Any wisdom out there on how to fix this?
