  • Hi Brajesh,

Just curious if you were able to determine what causes this issue. Experiencing exactly the same thing.

What is happening here is when you make a posting to the Activity Stream from the post box, the post processes, but after posting into the stream, each of the buttons that template in next to the post box are no longer there.

    Thanks! Tom

    I have the distribution,

Rather than reinstall the entire package, I was hoping you could tell me which particular files would affect not getting the timestamp edit and trackback feature on the individual post edit screen.

Could this possibly be a troubled SQL option that somehow got changed. I know something must have gotten altered, but am not sure if this can be alleviated by reinstalling the particular files pertinant or if you do not think it is a WordPress but rather SQL issue, it would be appreciated if you could let me know or provide a direction.

Again, when I go in to edit a post, I no longer get the options to edit timestamp, do a trackback, etc., I only have the ability to edit the title, post body and category. I have advanced edit options checked in the Options tab for writing posts.

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Moshu…

    Thanks for the quick response…

This plugin does partially what I want. If I understand the plugin, it takes the category template and applies it to all single page post views within the category.

This is basically what I am looking to do, except I don’t want it to be driven by the category. I want the user to hit a url and get the information related to my other clients (an advertisement) based upon which site they clicked through…

ie: if they click through from one of my client sites, they would get, brought to you by….and that client (in the header portion), but the actual blog content would always be the same (to which the categories are necessary to be held for).

I thought there is probably some way to create multiple headers and have them pulled by the entry page, depending on where they are coming from, but it would be ideal to be able to use something like the template system so that these could be custom to each situation.

It is Arne Brachold’s 3.0b1 Google Sitemaps Plugin.

Everythig works, except it won’t let me change the priorities at all…they don’t save.

    Updated,

I found that the URL in my options-home sql had the trailing slash…so now both options-url and options-home in sql don’t have the trailing slash, and I seem to be able to edit the posts OK by logging into the control panel.

When I attempt to post as a user, still nothing happens, it just lags there and doesn’t post.

I had this same thing happen Bluejay…I logged into my hosting cPanel (hopefully you have one) and went to SQL databases. I was then able to access the database through the web interface (not the cPanel config), there’s a different web add-on all the way at the bottom of my page for SQL in cPanel called phpMyAdmin.

Choose this…Select the wordpress SQL database from the dropdown…click the checkbox next to blog id and then go up above and click on the text link that says browse…it is here that you can choose site url and then change it.

Go back, delete all your cookies and such, and reload the site…wallah…the site address will be correct again in your panel!

If you don’t have cPanel, I don’t know what to tell you.
