Please, use the following CSS to change the background colors:

.eo-fullcalendar table tr td{
background-color:#c2e0ff;
}

You can change the hex code,c2e0ff, to any desired value.

If you are using a child theme, you can place the CSS in your child theme.

The event list is actually ok as it is now. Pagination is not a must have, but it will be wellcome when it arrives later.
Also the events are in the full calendar, which can be scrolled to any month, week, or day, and which is also more convenient for users. This takes care of everything.

Oh! Initially, i actually used the above css in my theme’s stylesheet but i used the size instead of the width attribute.
I will change it to width and revert back.
