Hi there @chrisbz ,
Glad to hear you managed to achieve the desired result using Categories — apologies for missing this in my previous reply and kudos for finding this on your own!
A wild card option would be nice if possible for people with a lot of categories but this way worked for us.
I will share this feedback with the Engineering team — thank you for sharing your thoughts about how you’d like this plugin to work with us!
Cheers,
Maria

Hello there @chrisbz ,
Thanks for reaching out!
As far as I understand, you’d like to prevent specific products on your shop from being purchased on their own (without any additional products in the order). Is this correct?
If so, then the only way I can think of to do this with Product Dependencies is by adding a purchase dependency for every other product in your store to the specific product. I definitely understand that this workaround might not be an ideal solution for shops with a large number of products — however, if your shop doesn’t have a lot of products, this would work well.
Can you please try this and let me know if it helps?
Cheers,
Maria

In reply to: [WooCommerce Product Dependencies] Quotation marks displayed as entitiesHi there,
Thank you for reaching out!
WooCommerce extensions generally do not include any translation files at all. We have not included any German translations in WooCommerce Product Dependencies.
Have you perhaps generated your own translations, or used another plugin to do this automatically?
If so, then please get in touch with the developers of that plugin and ask them for advice on how to fix the German translation.
With that said, we recommend using a plugin such as Loco Translate to create your own localizations.
For details about localizing/translating WooCommerce and WooCommerce Extensions in general, please refer to https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/translate-woocommerce-extensions/#section-2

In reply to: [WooCommerce Product Dependencies] Link to dependant product in pop upHello @wildrness,
Thank you for reaching out!
What you’re looking to accomplish is not currently possible in this free extension out of the box, and instead would require some custom code to be written, possibly to override some templates/files.
If you decide to proceed with this, it may be a good idea to hire a developer to help. I recommend to check out our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.
Hope this helps!

Hi there @gripsart,
Thank you for getting in touch!
Since this is a Product Bundles issue, I’d kindly ask that you open a ticket about this via your WooCommerce.com account dashboard. This will allow us to gather additional information on your configuration and investigate this.
In your ticket, please include the following information/screenshots:
– what bulk discounts have you set,
– what the bundled items’ original prices are, and;
– if you have defined % discounts for these items. It’s very likely this can be explained by how WooCommerce and plugins designed to work alongside it handle rounding. However, we’ll need to look into your configuration and replicate it first to confirm!
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out!
You are correct that our mini-extensions are still supported and maintained. You may download WooCommerce Product Dependencies here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-product-dependencies/, clicking on the ‘Download’ button: https://d.pr/i/5RHwCp.
I can have multiple products “A”, “B” and “C”, any single one of which can be made a prerequisite for other ones (“bonus”)? So you can buy “bonus if you have either “A”, “B” or “C”?
Yes! In the example you shared, you may edit the ‘bonus’ product and in the dependencies tab fill in products A,B and C: https://d.pr/i/KRbfdo as ‘Product Dependencies’.
Does this help?

Hi there @idiots_guide,
Thank you for reaching out!
As far as I understand, a customer purchased product A before. Now, customers can only purchase product A if they also purchase/or already own product B. However, you’d like customers that already own product A to be excluded from this requirement. Is that right?
If so, then that is not possible. Once you have set dependencies for product A, all future purchases have to respect those rules.
To achieve that result, it is necessary to write some custom code. Would you perhaps consider hiring a developer to help? For WordPress/WooCommerce customizations, we highly recommend https://codeable.io/.
Alternatively, if this isn’t what you had in mind, please let me know!
Does this help?

Hi there @ishiiboy,
Thank you for getting in touch!
As you correctly noticed, the Product Dependencies mini-extension does not work for Bundled Products.
As far as I understand, you’d like to offer one mandatory item (bandage), and then allow customers to select at least 1 from another group of items (posters). Is that right?
If so, then you can achieve that result by combining Composite Products with Product Bundles. More specifically, you may follow these steps:
1. Create a Bundle that will include all posters and set the Min Bundle Size to 1.
2. Create a Composite Product with 2 Components: bandage and posters.
3. Under the first Component (bandage) add the bandage as the only Component Option, and set the Component’s Min/Max Quantity equal to 1.
4. Under the second Component (posters) add the posters Bundle as the only option. If you decide to proceed with this, or you have any additional questions regarding Product Bundles, please open a ticket via your WooCommerce.com account dashboard and we’ll be happy to further assist you!

In reply to: [Product Recommendations - Custom Locations] Search Engine Reveals no resultsHello @cmnthrds ,
First of all, let me apologize for taking us this long to see your request ?? It looks like there was a technical issue that prevented us from receiving notifications from this forum in our inbox — we have now fixed the issue.
Regarding your request, our developers let me know that this should most probably be resolved in a newest version of Product Recommendations. Can you please confirm if the issue is resolved with the latest version? If not, please let me know so that I can take a closer look.
Again, I’m very sorry for failing to address your request sooner!
Cheers,
Maria Chekimoglou

In reply to: [Product Bundles - Bulk Discounts] TranslationHi @sebdemb,
Thank you for reaching out!
WooCommerce extensions generally do not include any translation files at all. I know it may sound surprising, but WooCommerce.com does not provide a hosting/delivery service for Extension translations.
As a workaround, you could produce your own localization using a plugin such as https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/loco-translate/. For more details about localizing/translating WooCommerce and WooCommerce Extensions, please refer to https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/translate-woocommerce-extensions/#section-2.

Support Engineer | SomewhereWarmHi @suraj001,
Thank you for reaching out!
As far as I understand, you’d like to add product dependencies per vendor — is that right?
If so, then this functionality is not supported. It is only possible to create store-wide product dependencies.
To achieve the result you have in mind it is necessary to create a custom coded solution. To proceed with this, I recommend hiring an experienced WooCommerce developer. For WordPress/WooCommerce customizations, we highly recommend https://codeable.io/.
Hope this helps!

Support Engineer | SomewhereWarm | https://somewherewarm.com/Hi @sebassvg,
Thank you for your reply!
I’m worried to hear you are still having trouble with the latest version. I wasn’t able to replicate this issue on my local site. Are you also using the latest Product Bundles version?
If so, then I’d love to take a closer look at your Bundle’s configuration. Could you please open a ticket via your WooCommerce.com account dashboard, making sure to select the WooCommerce Product Bundles plugin from the dropdown?
In your ticket, please include some details/screenshots of both the issue and the Bundle you have created.
On a side note, in previous Variation Bundles versions, the Bundle’s stock was not pulled into the Variation automatically. It was necessary to manually update it — this was a known limitation of the mini-extension.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Cheers,

In reply to: [WooCommerce Product Dependencies] Dependency message & WooHi @basic777,
Thank you for your reply!
I have made a note to discuss adding an option to edit the dependency message with the rest of the team. However, since this is the first request we ever receive about this, I do not expect we’ll be able to prioritize it soon.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Product Dependencies] Dependency message & WooHi there @basic777,
Good to hear you’ve enjoyed using our plugin!
To answer your questions:
1. You may use a plugin such as Loco Translate to edit strings like these.
2. There is no plan to discontinue the plugin in the foreseeable future.??
Does this help?
