The previous version of the app worked, the new version (7.9) fails across multiple Android phones and multiple sites.
The same as the OP, the images from the post are loaded into the Media Gallery as expected, but the post with the media in it remains marked as a local draft on the phone. Repeated attempts to publish fail with the same error.

I have a very similar problem here. same error message, different error number
Warning! Problem updating https://subsite.com. Your server may not be able to connect to sites running on it. Error message: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: subsite.com
I’m guessing that WordPress updates in a dev environment might be a bit of a problem.
Without the database update, I find it almost impossible to move forward with any other plugins being network activated.
Just out of interest Adam, what other plugins are you using on woocommerce? I have tried a couple of different filter plugins for my sidebar and I’m not sure if they are causing a conflict
