Additional information is that on sites without any old or new links, running the re-import process deletes all Link Library categories every time.

I activated and deactivated the earlier version multiple times on multiple sites and then updated to the new version.

I checked to see if the categories listed under the WP Link manager were now listed as Link Library categories and they were not. I do not know if the categories should have imported when activating the new plugin and before running any upgrade tools, but they did not.

I then rank the Re-import links process and encountered this message:
“Link Library: No Link Categories on your site” (Note: there were Link Library categories before running the re-import process)

“There are currently no link categories defined in your WordPress site. Link Library will not work correctly without categories. Please create at least one before trying to use Link Library and make sure each link is assigned a category.”

    Do you have other suggestions?

    Thanks

    Hi Yannick,

I received the update back then, but I did not take any action about importing the old links until recently. That is when I discovered the issue.

I am trying your suggestion now.

    Thanks

    Hello Yannick,

    I update almost daily.

However, if you think rolling back to the earlier version might work, I can try that.

I will try and report back.

    Thanks,

    Hello glomberg,

    Thanks for your reply.

I will be happy to provide admin access, but let me perform a few more checks first.

I cannot deactivate all plugins and troubleshoot that way because this is a production network of 60+ sites, so alternate troubleshooting methods may be required.

I did discover a problematic plugin yesterday that was breaking part of Yoast SEO, so now that it has been isolated, I need to retest your plugin.

I’ll report back here in a few days.

    Thanks for responding. ??

    Hello,

Just a bump on this as it really clogs up our logs. ??

    Query Monitor reports:

    Object
    component: “Plugin: uji-countdown-premium”
    file: “wp-content/plugins/uji-countdown-premium/classes/class-uji-widget.php”
    line: 14
message: “Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; ujic_Widget has a deprecated constructor”
    stack: [“wp-content/plugins/uji-countdown-premium/ujicountdown.php”]
    type: “deprecated”
    __proto__: Object

We are experiencing the same issue immediately after upgrading to 1.2.3 and I do not have a copy of version 1.2.2 to rollback to.

This issue brought down an entire network of 70 sites because the update happened in the wee hours, so I awoke to a down network. Clearing the cache and immediately deactivating the plugin resolved the issue, but we are without the EXCELLENT performance improvement provided by Cache Enabler.

Can you provide a link to the previous version download until this issue can be resolved?

    Thanks

    Has this issue been addressed?

Our multisite networks also need independent cookies per site due to different owners, different policies, etc.

I am also curious about multisite compatibility

Thanks for your reply. Proceeding as instructed.

    Hello,

I installed v2.5.10 and am now seeing this message filling our log files.
I am not sure if they all apply to this plugin.
    Thought you’d want to know.

    Thanks for a great plugin!

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your reply.

I just discovered that with TinyMCE Advanced deactivated, then activating HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter 2.2.3 the following is also generated:

    Version 4.9.5
    , qtInit: {‘content’:{id:”content”,buttons:”strong,em,link,block,del,ins,img,ul,ol,li,code,more,close,dfw”},’replycontent’:{id:”replycontent”,buttons:”strong,em,link,block,del,ins,img,ul,ol,li,code,close”}}, ref: {plugins:”charmap,colorpicker,hr,lists,media,paste,tabfocus,textcolor,fullscreen,wordpress,wpautoresize,wpeditimage,wpgallery,wplink,wpdialogs,wptextpattern,wpview”,theme:”modern”,language:”en”}, load_ext: function(url,lang){var sl=tinymce.ScriptLoader;sl.markDone(url+’/langs/’+lang+’.js’);sl.markDone(url+’/langs/’+lang+’_dlg.js’);} };

Any tips on how to go about locating the root cause?

    Thanks for your time.

    Phil D
