I really have no expertise in JS and would appreciate any help.

I guess this is because jquery is not working well on my site – but I have no idea why that is. Can someone please help me?

That’s what I’ve done and my site works fine now. I disabled All in one SEO and uploaded a new .htaccess file.

But I’d like to be able to use the plugin as well. Any advice?

I just tried that by including the code in single.php, but again it keeps showing the same post on every post’s page. But this time it shows the 16th post instead of the 9th.

I put it on the header because I want to put a three column table in the header before the sidebar splits the page into two. One column would have the most recent 8 posts which I call using get_archives(postbypost), and a second column would have the posts 9-16 which is what I’m trying to call using get_posts.

So, I’d prefer using it in the header.

I have the same problem – it doesn’t ping and it doesn’t send trackbacks. I reported previously, but couldn’t get any solution.

And the problem still exists…

Does nobody know what could be wrong?

You all know how important it is for sending trackbacks and pings to work!

Help please…

I forgot to mention that internal trackbacks are working!

Could this mean that the problem lies with my server? Need any permissions be set on the server to send trackbacks and pings to external sites?

Thanks podz for replying…but I don’t know! I’ve been changing the theme for quite sometime and have settled only over the last 2 weeks – but can editing the theme affect how new posts send trackbacks to other blogs/sites?

And I have never messed with the core code. Shall I try re-uploading all the WP core files except the theme files (because the theme is quite edited)?

Could it be something with my server not sending anything externally? Since I can’t send both trackbacks and pings?

Oh, I am using WP 1.5.2

the biggest drawback is that it counts only upto 100 pageloads – not even 100 visitors! and all stats are based on only the latest 100. of course if you want more you can pay…

has anybody else had jennmiller’s problem of pages breaking when their site is down??

And…some questions!

My titles are not displaying in full on the homepage or on the post page – how do I make the titles complete at both places?

And, could you tell me how to put the search box in the header as it is on your site at balancednews?

I have a minor suggestion: Why don’t you include all the common stuff from index.php, post-single.php, category.php, page.php, searchform.php etc. into the header and footer files?

These lines can go into the header.php from:
<div id=”rap”>
to:
<div id=”content” class=”colone”>

And these lines can go into the footer.php from:
</div> <!– end #content, .colone –>
to:
<div class=”spacer”> </div>

This will make things very convenient for making changes to the Navigation links or including stuff in the header!

Feedburner has now parternered with somebody called Feedblitz (or something) that send daily emails to subscribers – Just what you want. But I haven’t tested it – would be nice to know if anybody has started using Feedblitz and their opinions.
