sure, it would work in general.
1) You could extend the controller class and overwrite the sosere_run function to get exact what you need…

2) Or you could try to set the value of “Selection Settings” -> “Consider posts/pages not older than (days)” to 1. If you not using categories you should get recommendations from the same taxonomy level, not older than one day. If you need the same day or same hour/minute you have to change the code.

thank you for version informations. I suppose Event Manager stores events as custom post types in an unusual way. The current version of SOSERE doesn’t consider your request. I’ll make an update as soon as I find a cause and fixed this. In between you can uncheck “Include pages and custom types” in SOSERE settings -> selection settings menue. This should help.

You are right, but tags are not the main data source. SOSERE is a hybrid system with dynamic rate between context & colloborativ rate. The theory behind is described here: https://demo.sosere.com/2014/05/07/hybrid-recommendation-systems/ So it could happend, that no reader click on a simmilar post but on another becouse of he get allready the infomation he looked for and wont to read something from a releated field but another topic. For example: If you have read a book about css-basics, would you like to read another book about css-basics? Not? But it fits perfectly on the key words and context. You might want to read a book on JavaScript or PHP because you want to create a WordPress theme. I see. The good news is SOSERE is working fine. The bad news is it doesn’t fit your expectations. You are looking for same keywords, SOSERE for readers interests. Try some A/B testing and evaluate readers engagement. This is the point in using that kind of plugins.

I can’t see any SOSERE recommendations. Please check if it’s a page and “Include pages and custom types” is checked on settings page and – more important – “Hide recommendations” is not checked. You should see recommendations from the first moment, but it becomes better over time because of user behavior data.
