In reply to: [Autoptimize] Huge difference between mobile and desktopit seems as though google rolled their recent changes back, scores are back to where they were before the weekend?
Yes they do. Some of my optimized sites went back to previous figures. But not all of them.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] autoptimize not differing css when critical path presentso the fact GPSI want down is merely … noise?
I agree, but you know that clients likes to easily measure results and the big G rules it all, even if we don’t like the way they do it. Anyway, I’m not criticizing AO, you make a tremendous job with this plugin.
Thank you for taking the time to answer ALL the questions ??

In reply to: [Autoptimize] autoptimize not differing css when critical path presentRe. older version; try https://github.com/futtta/autoptimize/tree/2.0.2 maybe?
Thank you!. I’ll give it a try
I have 100GPSI on my own site
By the way, https://autoptimize.com/ dropped to 85 on mobile in PSI. Seems to be a recent change/bug, lots of people are complaining on PSI Google support forum.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] autoptimize not differing css when critical path presentOn the last few days I started seeing a huge drop in mobile on many of the sites that I optimized using AO. I guess that maybe is something related to a change in PSI algorithm, because nothing changed on this sites, and all of them dropped from 90+ in mobile to barely 70+. Defer unused CSS is the main cause of this.
If it would be deferred (as AO used to do a couple of versions ago) the chance was bigger that the user scrolled down to a part of the page that was not styled yet.
I agree with your answer, but clients are not happy with those orange warnings that appeared all of a sudden. May be getting the option to defer CSS to the bottom could be a great addition to this plugin.
Frank, which version is that? I would like to test how PageSpeed Insights tool performs with that previous version of AO.
Thanks a lot.
No luck reseting options. Probably a fresh install could do the trick? I’ve been updating this plugin over and over for years now. Is there any documentation on how to uninstall preserving gallery database? Thank you.
Cais, some days ago I updated the plugin to latest version (I was using V2.2.3), and a couple of weeks ago we also moved the site to https.
Thanks
I finally ended up following your suggestion of adding CSS to Gallery > Other Options > Style, and deleted the settings from my custom CSS file. Now it’s working fine.
Thank you very much

I was using
.ngg-gallery-thumbnail
from my child theme CSS file, and it worked fine until last update. I will give a try to any of the two other alternatives, to see if it works. I’ll let you know. Thanks!
Thank you Cais, I added this idea on the link you shared.
Cais, It worked perfect.
Thank you
I’m sorry, wrong plugin. I mean, I’m using V2.1.7 , I missed V2.1.9, and I would like to get V2.1.10 working. Thank you for your help.
Hi, I missed 1.6.8.2 update, and now I would like to get the latest version. Is this hack still available on 1.6.8.3 ?
Thank you in advance.
Cais,
That was exactly what I was looking for. I modified manage.php and now It’s working the way I wanted.Although, I have to take in consideration that the file could de overwritten on new updates. It would be a great addition to be able to chose that from the admin menu.
Thank you for your help.
