i had the same problem but upgrading the google sitemap plugin helped. One would expect to be notified of outdated plugins with 2.3 now but that wasn’t the case here. get the lastest version from here.
Btw, the stats plugin notified me of possible upgrades so that is working fine. Proly the sitemap plugin hasn’t made it to the plugin db yet.
