Okay .. I am able to login now!
When updating the password in the DB, I had to also set the user_pass field as ‘md5’ and that allowed me to login. Phew!

I ll now investigate my themes and plugins, and see whats causing the issue. If you have any other tips for me, please let me know. Highly appreciate your support. Here’s my site-health info btw:

Hi Jamie,

I am not able to access Tools > Site Health coz I am not able to login to my dashboard. Is there any other way?

In the meantime, I was able to login to my cPanel and upgrade WordPress to the latest version (6.3.4). After that, I tried to access forgot password > which seemed to submit fine and told me that I should receive an email. But no email has been recieved.

I also accessed my phpMyAdmin and changed my password manually in the wp_users table (user_pass column) and tried logging in with that but it keeps saying that its a wrong password.

Hi Jamie, thank you for your message! I tried the following :

1. Manually resetting plugins:
   • Login > I tried that, and then tried to login but the issue remained.
   • Reset password >I tried going to my forgot-password page – but the page breaks with the plugins directory reset.
2. Disabling theme
   • Login > Original issue remains
   • Reset password > The page goes blank with the theme disabled.

What do you think?
