search for plugins “event management” and subscription

OK, after some searching I figured it out.

I have a plugin (Simple Press) with a large number of setting options and I had enabled rpx support.

I’ve just gone through this problem on two test sites(not being able to login to my website after upgrading to WP 3.1 RC2) and there is a quicker way to deactivate all your plugins than renaming/deleting all plugins – just rename the plugins folder to something like /plugins-x.

This gives you login access to you site and you can apply the latest build of WP 3.1 RC2 and you will get a list of all de-activated plugins.

You will now be able to create a new /plugin folder and drag each plugin from /plugin-x over to test.

Use the plugin search feature within wordpress to search on paypal and you will find a very comprehensive plugin called something like S3.

What is a staging site Roger – it sounds promising. staging.domain.com is a dead url and a quick google didn’t help much.

I have restored my system from a backup and am contemplating whether to try to install the plug-in again or stay with the default WP cache.

I’ll let you now if I decide to risk the install again.

I have experienced a similar problem with WP 3.0.

Sayontan, thank you very much for this Buddypress-compatible theme – I have spent the last month trying to impose Buddypress onto Mandigo and Atahualpa. Each time I have gotten so far but been unable to get through formatting problems; the huge range of options within Suffusion gives me hope!

One thing, I found a bug. At the top of /Groups/Index.php is a line of php code that is not wrapped in <?php ?>, thus:

include (TEMPLATEPATH . '/functions/bfa_get_options.php');
<?php get_header() ?>

As a result it shows up briefly as text when the Groups menu option is invoked. I tried wrapping it in php but that creates even bigger problems so I presume it doesn’t belong there at all.

PS I lived and worked in India for 7 years – wonderful country. Your blog brings back many memories!

I’ve been confused by this too so I’m no expert….but, I think you have your markup wrong.

The example shows:

[PAGE CONTENT]
</div>
<div id=”sidebar”>
[SIDEBAR CONTENT]
</div>
</div>
[FOOTER]

In other words div container finishes after [SIDEBAR] – your mark up has (as you correctly say) div container finishing before SIDEBAR.

modemlooper, I’ve followed these instructions (with one exception – see below) and I really like the 3 column theme. However –
– I couldn’t follow your instructions to the word because I didn’t have an option to choose BuddyPress Widget Thems as the page template (which is probably why I am getting some 404 when I try to select menu options for Groups, Forum, Activities.
