In reply to: IE 6 problem – DROP DOWN MENU in navigation not appearing – HELP!Unfortunately this is not the issue causing the problem.
I was referring to the drop down menu not appearing.
It IS appearing on my husband IE7 computer and Firefox no problem.
This is a known gltiche with IE6 and I cannot use IE7 at the moment on my own computer.
Is there a workaround so that others on IE6 including myself can see it?
Something perhaps I need to change in the CSS?
I ended up switching from GATE.COM to https://www.momwebs.com through a personal recommendation from someone who hosts 14 sites there with NO downtime or latency issues at all and I have to tell you…. not ONLY did they upload my files for FREE and upgraded me to 2.1 from 2.6 automatically, my site is now flying at lighteneing speed!!!!!!!!!
Everything is running perfect, speed is amazing.
Unbelievable. Sometimes its all in the host guys.
Good riddance GATE.COM LOL

In reply to: When I minimize page sidebars go in the middle HELP!!It was actually IE 6
I fear this is going to be my only recourse…finding a new host.
Does anyone have a good recommendation?
Should I find one who already has a one-click WP install?
If they offer this will it be the most current WP edition? Those that offer a one-click install for their WP, is is automatically updated when new versions come out?
If so will it mess up my blog?
Rigth now it appears I have a backup created with my plugin:
WordPress Database Backup.
Is this all I would need for the most part, to upload?
I just don’t want to make the same mistake twice. Enough of this….
I would also need a host that offers phone support in case I get hung up and doesn’t have the word DUH in their vocabulary when it comes to WP. LOL
I am currently running WP 2.06
HELP!

In reply to: Line break above DOC declaration a problem?Hi Otto42…thanks for the suggestion
So you see anything here that stands out in my functions? There was not a break above or below the script in there but as you can see some wide gaps elsewhere
Would this cause the problem? (before I go changing it)

In reply to: When I minimize page sidebars go in the middle HELP!!OK here’s the deal.
I had a post with a hyperlink in it…which should not be a problem.
There is one further down the page with a url in it and not any issues with that one.
I noticed it was ONLY that one post for some reason causing the problem. So because it showed up on my home page it created this issue. If I clicked on the post itself, it also re-created this issue.
I went back in and removed the link first, not the entire post and it was FIXED!
Then I just deleted the post altogether because without the link the post was worthless.
Is this yet another glitche in WP 2.06?
I would hate to think I can’t even point to another url in the topic within my posts.
Whats going on??

In reply to: Line break above DOC declaration a problem? Can someone take a look at my source code to see if there is something present that might be doing this, that I am not seeing?
These are the only plugins I have activated.
Tried removing all and no difference.WordPress Database Backup
Add Meta-Tags
AkismetI have one in there for Adsense but have it disabled.
Here is something else that might give a clue.
When I view the source code on each individual post, the doc type is where it should be, right up to the top with NO space above it.
GO FIGURE.
However if I select that same post, from RECENT POSTS area, and THEN view the source, I do get the blank area above the doc type when I view source.
Any insight? I am concerned this line break issue might be responsible for my page load issues.

In reply to: Line break above DOC declaration a problem? Here’s the thing. I had someone else install this and so for me I am not sure I could emulate it the way it should be to preview this. That person is no longer available. That is why I was hoping someone could help me here. ;0(

In reply to: Line break above DOC declaration a problem?Gosh I’d be sort of afraid to mess it up even further doing that…
Can anyone else look at my code to see if there is something obvious?

In reply to: How long must you wait to get listed in google?I have the same issue but cannot find it?
blank line before the DOCTYPE declaration
from my home page https://www.spaparazzi.com
I specifically looked in header.php and could not see a blank space above the declaration.
Anyone know?
