In reply to: [Iconic One] How to ADD date and comments count on main pageGreat, works exactly as planned …
… would you also happen to know how to show the bar UNDER the excerpt picture / excerpt text?
Could you elaborate that a little more?
I guess you are talking about the functions.php?

Any chance this will be dealt with?
Added: I activated the twitter share button for a short time for you to check what I am talking about but I had to deactivate it agaign. As I said: german privacy law prohibites the use of unconsented cookies.
Also: The google+ sharing button does not install a cookie, so why does the twitter share buttos?
Hey Carolyn,
thanks for looking into it.
The cookie is set by the twitter share button from the jetpack sharing plugin. You can examine it by clearing your browser cookie drive space or via tools like ghostery.
The problem is, that Twitter sets a cookie in the PC of every user that visites my site. This cookie sends a lot of personal information to twitter regardless of weather a visitor to my site is a member of twitter or not.
I as a webmaster would have to get consent of my visitor about this cookie and I would very much like to not have to do that.

In reply to: [Iconic One] Increase excerpt thumbnail resolutionHey there and thanks for getting into it.
I tried modifying the functions.php in my child theme. In the end it didnt help, but here’s what happens:
1. I bumped the resolution to 4x (800×560) and it did in deed increase resolution just fine, but:
2. Thumpnail regeneratior gave a error message and wordpress responded with a “couldnt modify header” message
3. So I started over and tried it again. Second time all worked fine but now the excerpt thumbnails only get bigger not sharper.Any tipps?

In reply to: [Iconic One] Increase excerpt thumbnail resolutionMe again:
I checked with the Plugin maker and (to be sure) disabled the plugin:
Result still negative. The functions.php is modified according to your tip above and the excerpt thumbnails are bumped to 800×560. I erased the thumbnail several times in several articles, reuploaded the images and used regenerate thumbnails.
Still the experct thumbnail on the main page are blurry and low res. (www.deathmetalmods.de)
By the way: Do you have a tip on how to decrease the space between the main page post excerpts? Of course I could open a seperate thread for that …

In reply to: [Post Thumbnail Editor] Higher Resolution excerpt thumbnailsThanks for replying. I allready tried to solve it with my theme support (Iconic One). The gave me a addition to the functions php (->
Iconic One [resolved] Increase excerpt thumbnail resolution (5 posts))That did not have any effect, thats why I guessed it might be a issue with the post thumbnail editor.
