thanks again Oliver. I am going to contact Apple and see if the same problem exists on the 2021-2024 models. It maybe something they could look into.
I agree it is very strange I have also looked on both my sons iPads which are 8th gen and it still does the same. I can agree it probably is my iPad but it has alway done that, on all of them.
my eldest son’s MacBook Pro, my youngest son’s MacBook Air and my Mac mini are all fine there is no issue it must be unique to the iPad.
thank you for your kind offer of a fix but I think I will just live with it on the iPad. iPads are less common in the U.K. which is where my target audience are located. Android devices and windows pc’s are much more common.
finally thank you for all your assistance you really have restored my faith in the WordPress support forum and I will certainly adjust my review and I do really love the Twentyseventeen theme.

In reply to: [Options for Twenty Seventeen] Options for twenty seventeenthank you for your understanding.
it’s actually quite funny as I have received more responses from yourself in the last 40 mins than I did for the entire year with other problems.
I can’t say fairer than that truly excellent
good morning Oliver,
firstly I have an iPad Pro v2 using iOS 17.5.1. Yes I do use safari and I am referring to the home page image (plant pot on table). I do believe I may have misinterpreted the the documentation as this is the only image that pixelates on the site, all the other images I use work fine it is just the header image

In reply to: [Options for Twenty Seventeen] Options for twenty seventeenGood day Oliver,
thank you for your message, I did search the support forum to see if this issue had been highlighted previously. I have opened a thread in the forum and await a response.
The biggest reason for not doing so earlier was, I have never really had much success with support forums. In the last year I have opened in excess of 50 threads for support on issues I have encountered and I have only received 2 responses.
I usually end up trying to resolve the issue myself and if I can’t I just uninstall the plugin or software and find another that will work. Therefore as I’m sure you can understand my views on support forums tend to be very negative especially anything to do with Google. Which is why I try to steer clear of any of their products.
Also my blog has just undergone a complete revamp and a domain name change. My readers are expecting the site to go live on the 15th July and I have 16 articles to write before hand, the last thing I wanted to do at this critical stage, was debug plugin.
As stated I await a response and if I am able to resolve the problem then I will be more than happy to change my review. I came across this plugin by accident and when I saw that one of the features was to fix the Fixes the pixelation bug for iPads I was excited as this is the only aspect of the theme that annoys me the rest is extremely well thought out.
I really appreciate your kind offer, however I have contacted my hosting supplier today and transferred my WordPress contract to webspace and will set up my site using html and css.
Thank you once again for your kind offer of assistance and I will revise my review to highlight your willingness to support your users.
Kindest Regards

In reply to: [Events Made Easy] Events made extremely complicatedHi,
Thank you for your mail. As I have been told so many times, free plugins come with no support, if you do offer support for the free versions of your plugins, then that should be made clear to the end user in the plugin description, on knowing this I would have contacted you for help. I use the free versions as way to determine their potential functionality and if I believe they will do what I want them to do, I will then pay for the upgrade.
I did view a number of your documentation pages, but never went through it entirely and after going through a couple of pages and seeing numerous references to PHP, to set up things like categories and templates which does require some knowledge of coding.
I have been using WordPress for the past 4 years and in that time I have only found 1 plugin that works exactly how it was described by its developer, the rest have required tweaking and trolling the internet in search of a resolution. I have left numerous posts for help on the WordPress forums and I have only ever received 6 reply’s leaving me high and dry without help and one of them is yours. I can truly say that I have spent more time dealing with plugin issues than actually working on my sites.
The review I left yesterday was the result of spending 6 hours trying to get an event handler to do what I want it to do and that does not need tweaking or me spending my valuable time trying to sort out functionality issues.
I was advised by my hosting supplier that WordPress was the best solution for my needs, however it has got to the point where I am spending more time dealing with plugin issues, than creating a site for my new business, which has resulted in me cancelling my WordPress package and transferring my contract to webspace, where I will create my site with html and css which will take a third of the time I have spent on WordPress.
I will be more than happy to review you plugin again as my blog is still active on WordPress and I will certainly revise what I have said, but the review will stand if I have to spend hours coding or the resolving functionality issues. You stated above that you have “set reasonable defaults”, when I installed and activated your plugin there were no defaults anywhere, the events were empty as were categories and templates, which is why I went to the documentation.
The review I left was based on 6 hours of wasted time, trying to install an event handler that would benefit me. Everyone required tweaking and resolving functionality issues. I can certainly code using html and css, which is why I do not understand why these plugins have so many issues, your comment stating” I doubt you find anything good enough for you“ in the case of WordPress plugins you are probably correct, I have extremely high expectations when it come to parting with my hard earned money and I expect things to work exactly how they are described, which in the majority of WordPress plugins they do not work as described

Hi,
Thank you for your response and that does help. Perhaps my post was a little misleading, but the other 6 I have tried worked but each of them had their own problems in some way. Whilst I appreciate the help you have given I do not understand why the plugin can’t just work and why you have to take the steps you suggest and if these steps are required why do you not let people know when they are installing. I have noticed that virtually every plugin I have installed does not work the way the developer describes and they all need tweaking in some way and whilst I can appreciate there are forums I am sorry but I have a business to run and do not have the time to keep posting threads in the hope someone might respond to my issue like the other 6 developers. This has not been the case with yourself as you have kindly taken the time to respond and the help you have suggested is greatly appreciated. I will undertake the steps you have suggested and I will amend my review after I have had an opportunity to use the plugin fully. However as I stated I think I will just purchase some e-commerce hosting and scrap WordPress, with the amount of time I have spent debugging and trolling the internet for solutions I could have had my site finished in a third of the time using html and css.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Editing css filesSuggestion above worked for the section that appeared to be uneditable, however this problem has appeared in other elements. As the developer cannot be bothered to create a editable css file I can no longer spend my valuable time doing the developers job for them. The plug-in looked promising and would have purchased the premium plugin, however with lazy coding like this I have chosen a different plugin that works.
