Well, so much for getting a response.

My theme developer has informed me that their theme uses AJAX page transitions, and that is why all and any shortcode is not appearing correctly. If I go to the standard WP theme format by disabling page transitions the shortcodes appear as they should, however the result is that it throws of how the theme is supposed to be used and interact and some of the features lose their intent. There is further detail, but pointless to go any further. I like your plugin, however am extremely disappointed in your lack of response.

Upon further review, the site I am currently testing is a beta site, and it appears that they did not program the site to accept shortcode properly. I tried using Shortcode Ultimate shortcodes and it does not work (show) properly as well.

So, If you know what the proper code for enabling the site to accept shortcode is and what page editor to insert it in and where to insert on that page, I would be most grateful.

Please understand, I’m still learning code, thus can’t just go and do it so to speak. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Well, I found one solution…

I created content boxes with title, icon and no text, then adjust the size of the content boxes with additional spaces. Now just have to figure out how to adjust the table height so that it does not leave so much space in between.

So, there is a way, it’s a work around, but a time saver for now as well. ??

If anyone can still show me how to program the one measly tile as requested above, I am still interested. ??

Unfortunately no. Post tiles allows a minimum of 7 tiles though they state 8 in their write up, and when you add less than 7 tiles it leaves number boxes under the tile, and when one clicks on the number boxes it takes you to a new window where it states “you are not authorized to view drafts.” I also tried to add a font-awesome automated icon to the the posts and tile without success.

So still searching. Appreciate your help!

An after thought, if the changes were made and avail in a premium version, I would definitely consider purchasing. Searching the net for plugins for custom requirements is so very time consuming and it would be nice to get closer to a one shortcode plugin fits all scenario.

I managed to get the tiles arranged by creating my own custom tile layout called “menu”, but not sure of how to create a dummy tile, so I just created a dummy page that the middle tile goes to for now.

In addition, I tried several different ways of trying to get the colors to change based upon your write up, but could not. I also want to put specific text and an icon (just like windows 8 metro tiles) on each individual tile, but don’t know how to get there yet.

I know to enter the code in the Text (or code)portion of my new home page with the other wp-tile programming. I will be using this color numbering scheme, In addition I am using a child theme (Avada Child theme from Envato-Themeforest) that does not have much content in the sytle.css file. I am still learning code and it sure would help if you could let me know what this all might look like and any help you could provide in achieving all this would be awesome. I would be willing to pay you a bit if that is appropriate as well.

I see what you mean about the sizing of the tiles, and opened my new home page in a separate window and re-sized to see the responsive sizing work great, which is very cool. Exactly what I was looking for. Now if I can finish up the issue with the dummy tile, color, adding text and icons, and adding to the .css file, I will be in good shape. ??
