Could you tell us what WordPress version, browser and theme you’re using?
I’ve tested the autogrow elements with several themes and browsers but there are limits to how much testing I can do.
I’ve updated this plug-in to 2.0.1.
You’ll now have the option of setting a title for the form from the ‘spectacu.la discussion’ settings page and also the option of turning off the comment form avatar.I couldn’t recreate the avatar issue you have but I suspect it’s down to a plug-in as your avatars are different sizes to the sizes I request within the comment loop. That’s not a problem as I built this to respect whatever avatar sizes turn up, it would seem that something in there is not being reset correctly so we’re left with the avatar from the last user. So to get around this just turn off the comment avatar with the new option.
Sounds like your style issues were associated with cached CSS. I thought I’d done enough to force a flush of the cache, obviously not.
The gravatar bug is a little odd, I’ll take a look at that. It didn’t come up in my own local testing so when I find the cause I’ll get a 2.0.1 out.
I chose to remove the “Leave a comment” title as it seemed mostly superfluous. If you want to add it back in you’ll find a file called functions.php in the plug-in’s folder under includes and in there you’ll find a function called spec_comments_form, you’ll likely want to add it around line 160. However, if you’re willing to wait for the next version I’ll add another option to the options page that’ll let you define a title for the top of that box.

In reply to: Expand comment replies by default?Hi – that behaviour is the default behaviour of Blend.
If you wish we’re soon going to be including our threaded comments plugin: https://spectacu.la/spectacula-threaded-comments/ with all our themes, but you can install the plugin right away and start using it. This allows you to change the number of comments rolled up by the Javascript – right up to the point where none will be rolled up.
Hope that helps,
Dave.

In reply to: Friends Help!: Changing background in GRASSLAND theme?I’m not sure I’d call £25 a lot of money! It’s just a way to help us pay our rent. We wouldn’t give any better advice than in here, but we can do it more quickly.
Anyway, the theme uses background images. In the theme’s working subdirectory you have a Fireworks png with all the slices prepared for you. Alternatively you can change the individual images by hand, but that’s quite time consuming.
If the Fireworks file isn’t included (for reasons of upload limits on www.ads-software.com we can’t always do so) then you should find it in the version over at Spectacu.la

In reply to: WordPress theme “Blend”.You don’t need to go so far as to change code – In appearance you can go to ‘customise the theme’ – there you have various options for the theme.
In this case you can select the drop-down marked ‘Header links space’ and select ‘off’. Et voila, links are gone. You can also choose it to be the place you have pages linked to.
