i’ve been trying to extend my SAML installation … i want to copy the following from my active directory.
– address
– department
– office locationhow do i extend the SAML definition to do this, and insert the information into the extended user profile?

In reply to: [SAML 2.0 Single Sign-On] Wil ADFS complain if your site is self certified.No but you’ll get a lot of popup messages stating that the certificate isn’t one from a verified authority … and as such not getting one from a trusted supplier isn’t advised. It’s ok for testing. but if you plan to roll it out to a “large” number of people its easier to but the cert and do away with the explanation.

?Adds an option to bypass SAML authentication and use the traditional method. With the option enabled, create and use a login URL like https://example.com/wp-login.php?use_sso=false
so I’m guessing that you will have to be able to have ‘locally’ defined users who can log in …
My preference would be for local accounts to be checked first, and then to check against the remote users. Having to use a specific link is just a bit clunky
