“There’s an option in the Pro version to export to a CSV file.”
You can do this in the free version also (at least I don’t think I purchased Pro, though maybe I did).
Either way, that’s a work around. It would be nice to have an “Email Attendees” feature to announce reschedules, cancellations, etc.
I’m not sure how this was “resolved”. I’m interested in doing what cheungbe is asking, but I don’t see the answer here. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

In reply to: Provide a Setting to Turn Off Registration NotificationNow I remember why I never used WordPress before. Think I’ll put a sticky note on my computer so I never make this mistake again. To create anything beyond the most simplistic web site you need to install all sorts of plug-ins that increase complexity, risk, and maintenance costs for the site.
I understand plug-ins for functionality like event management, community forums, and other advanced functionality that’s too specialized to include in the core platform, but it’s absurd to have to install a plug-in for such a basic function as turning off automatic registration notifications. Someone could probably code that in their sleep.
Some people may like them but that is completely beside the point. It’s absurd to not provide the ability to turn them off so I can decide that for myself.

In reply to: Provide a Setting to Turn Off Registration NotificationIt being “the WordPress way” in no way makes it not silly. It’s a dumb feature anyway you look at it. I’m sure there are some scenarios where those emails are useful, but I can’t imagine many. Not having a way to turn them off is just dumb.
And thanks for the suggestion, fonglh, but, unfortunately, our web mail system doesn’t allow the creation of rules, and we need to use web mail for various reasons.
Kind of makes it a whole lot less functional, especially considering the ability to check a box by default is built right into HTML.
This is something I will never understand about software development, why they intentionally remove features. It makes no sense.

In reply to: Provide a Setting to Turn Off Registration NotificationHow is that even a remotely realistic solution?
If the only way to stop receiving notifications of user registrations is to not let anyone register, then that is an extremely lame software design. I want people to register, I just don’t want to get a useless email telling me they did so.
Anyone have an answer for this? I’d also like to have a checkbox selected by default.
Just installed this plug-in. Pretty cool. Great job!
If I make these changes in the plugin settings (Events > Settings > Formats/Layout > Events format > Single Event Page) to, for example, remove the category display, do they get overwritten if I upgrade the plugin? My guess is no, but I want to be sure.

Really? That’s you’re answer?
I searched this forum and came upon this post (which is very likely how EVERYONE lands on a post) in the hopes that it would solve a problem I’m having with my site. Who the F cares what category it’s in?
Nobody BROWSES forums. They SEARCH them. The 90s era of usenet forums and their precious categorizations are done. Get over it. They weren’t even followed back then.
