This issue is still persisting for my install, I am running 2.2.6 and wp 4.7.1
The strange thing is that even when I downgrade to version 2.0.1 the plugin still gives me this error. But not on my production site. Only on my staging site. I have deactivated all plugins and switched to default theme but still receiving this error using plugin version 2.0.1 and 2.2.6 hosted on wpengine.com
