In reply to: [GenerateBlocks] Generateblocks 2.0I think I found the setting – I changed the settings and?turn off the?version 1 blocks and everything’s working. Must’ve overlooked it. Thanks.

In reply to: [Simple Newsletter Plugin - Noptin] ErrorHello,
I’m actually experiencing the same issue. In my case it is triggered by using emojis (invoked by Win+.) in the body of an email campaign. Whenever I put an emoji into the content, I’m prevented from saving it. I’ve tried using emojis in regular posts or pages and everything worked as expected – no issues. I wonder if that might’ve been the culprit in the OP’s case as well and if there’s any fix.
Thanks.Thank you.
Understood. Thanks.
@largbasket thanks for the info. I’ll be looking forward to the update.
Dear @largbasket,
…the same thing have been driving me crazy. I put hours into styling my lessons and when I need to attach some files to it, I have to go back to that small window to add files/feature image and update the lesson, but some Gutenberg blocks get mangled as a consequence. Some blocks can be retrieved some not as @ztvmark pointed out.
I suspect that at this moment it isn’t possible to add feature images and attach file in Gutenberg editor. Would you be so nice as to consider how to do it so we can add feature images/files and keep our Gutenberg blocks intact at the same time. With all due respect, I suspect that I’m not the only one who considers the classic editor in the small window useless. Please note that a lesson is not just a video, but some of us create also elaborated text-based/block-based lessons and the classic editor injected into the window for adding featured images and files just ruins our work.
Thanks.
@hyenokian thank you for your reply,
For now groups can be “solved” by creating one account that two/three people would share, so they all can add words and create shared vocabulary groups.
Reg the vocabulary games. The games where students need to look for a correct word/translation are fine, but they might make it easier for a student to “guess” the correct answer because it always shows up on the screen, so it might not be that cognitively challenging.
My idea regarding active learning/testing is as follows:
- Students create a group with words/translations to be practiced.
- Prior to testing, students chose a % range (based on if they want to be tested on words they didn’t seem to know well, or reinforce the knowledge of words they knew some time ago) e.g. 0-25% and a number of words to be tested.
- Students then initiate a practice session where a word (random word from the specified range) appears on the screen and the student need to think of a translation/correct answer (say it out loud it’s up to him/her)
- After that, upon a key press/mouse click a corresponding translation would appear.
- Then the student would evaluate herself/himself based on how well they knew the answer. e.g. bad (0%, – points …), OK (50 %, half point…), good (100%, + point …) This way each practiced word would get a value which would allow students to choose range of words he/she wants to learn within next learning session.
Brilliant! Thank you.
Hello @munayam ,
Admin will get a signup email sure, but students don’t. That was what the OP asked about it seems.
Hello @adrixkai,
Also, to the best of my knowledge, even Tutor Pro won’t give you the functionality you are enquiring about. Although there are many email instances, a student won’t get an email upon signing up.
Hello @ontergon,
You might want to give a shot to this css:.tutor-color-secondary
{
font-family: ;
line-height: ;
font-size: ;
}
Customize to your liking.Hello,
Well, I used User Menus plugin to achieve that. After you install it, create a menu item in WordPress. Name the item {first_name}, set up who should see it ,if necessary, and that’s it. You can also put any text you want before the name e.g. Hello, {first_name}.
+1 Strange right? “About lesson” is as good as nothing. Would be nice to fix it.
Hello,
I was looking into something similar. Maybe as a workaround you could activate enrollment limit in settings, set it to 1 day, so people won’t be able to enroll after one day. Your clients can still register on your website, but they won’t be able to enroll because of said expiration and you could then enroll them on the course manually. This way you can have control over who’s enrolled.
OK, so I tried disabling all unnecessary plugins and activating either 20203 theme or TutorStarter. Even on you own theme I get the same results. See the image please (this is with Tutor Starte theme.
