    I discovered that the NextGen gallery update process had overwritten my .htaccess file. I had modified this file to force my provider to use php 5 instead of 4 which is the default. It needs the extra line:

    AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

    right before:

    # END WordPress

    When I modified the file again everything was fine.

    I am getting this message when I try to ender wp-admin:
    Error 500 – Internal server error

    An internal server error has occured!
    Please try again later.

    OK, so I am using 2.7. I found “Import” under the “Tools” menu but all I see is:
    “Import
    If you have posts or comments in another system, WordPress can import those into this blog. To get started, choose a system to import from below:”
    followed by a whole bunch of blank space. I am not sure what should be there but I am not seeing it.
