Worked for me thanks Steve, hopefully the next plug-in version will be updated with a fix to prevent users that havn’t activated from logging in, and also ideally have a “resend activation” link in the error message.
cheers
have you made that code change in your copy of the plug-in steve? if so would you mind posting it here with the surrounding code and I’ll edit it into mine.

In reply to: [Email Login] [Plugin: WP Email Login] Does it works with BuddypressYes I am using it, although works too well.. the version I have installed allows users to login even if not activated.
Yep I think you’ve finally also found the cause of my site being overrun by sploggers and spammers all the time – they are registering, not activating, then logging in and creating buddypress groups. I can delete a spam log and a new one literally appears within a few hours.. be great if this plug-in can be fixed urgently.

In reply to: [Invite Anyone] [Plugin: Invite Anyone] Group Invite for members not workingsame issue – 404 error on sent link.
additionally, I have configured the plug-in to NOT allow users to send group invitations but it seems to ignore this setting and still prompt to send non-members group invitations when I don’t want it to.
what would be the cost to have these two problems fixed in the plug-in?
cheers
ewartHi hydn, I, and probably a few others with IIS would appreciate your thoughts – did you find it was worth running both wincache and total cache? I’m wondering what your current approach to caching is given you’ve obviously tried a few things for IIS.

In reply to: [One Sport - Route Map] [Plugin: One Sport – Route Map] GPX upload coolok gpx upload is ready to play around with, the I need to do some work to optimise the performance of it but the basics are there. I’ve created a secret hidden easter egg for those people that want to try it pre-live
go to the workout tab, click the label named “workout” and it will prompt you to upload your .gpx file.
once i’ve got the performance how I want it then I’ll add a proper button etc!

In reply to: [One Sport - Route Map] [Plugin: One Sport – Route Map] Very BuggyHi, sorry for the tardy response I assumed I would be emailed if there was a relevant thread so only just spotted this.
You are correct the calories in the beta version are off because I’m not asking for the the age, gender and weight, but that will come iterate into the next release.
There is a little issue with the automatic route navigating mode too, occasionally it stalls when navigating due to a bug in a library I’m using, but that bug has recently been fixed and I plan to update with a new release soon.
I am about to host the api on a CDN so performance will jump then too; and when I optimize the library size ??
Please do keep checking back your feedback is very useful, I will make improvements on the things people mention. If you don’t get a response here then it will only be because I wasn’t notified someone posted a thread.. you can also post on the https://www.onesportevent.com forums which I’ve just setup.
Cheers

In reply to: IIS7.5 Pretty Permalinks Not WorkingResolved, with much help from microsoft, somehow the installation process had failed partly for the RewriteModule. It did install, however was non-functional because a dll didn’t register properly. apparently this is very rate, lucky me!
was fixed with a complex and probably unrepeatable series of manually editing IIS configuration files.. however repairing, or reinstallation of the rewrite module might help you if you are in the same situation.

In reply to: IIS7.5 Pretty Permalinks Not WorkingThanks, I did review the documentation on installation and have tried those settings, they are bsaically the same as what I have above, and it doesn’t work on either server.
i see that page links to an offsite page with has a _different_ setting, so I’m not sure which one is supposely correct, maybe both.. but neither work for me.
does anyone have any ideas if there any other variations I should try? what else should I check? how can I go about debugging whats wrong?

In reply to: generic registration handler plug-inWow that was quick! Geoff Kauten of GKauten Consulting has to be the fastest plug-in developer I’ve seen – here is the component already on his website! ..and it has an admin screen. Checkout https://www.gkauten.com/cross-registration-integration
Not sure how to make this post as resolved, but it is.

In reply to: All-In-One SEO packageyes given enough time on your hands, but even then you will have spent a lot of time, certainly more than the $$ equiv figuring stuff out and still won’t have the piece of mind that comes with paying an expert to do it.

In reply to: All-In-One SEO packageMost of that is very, very simple for them to setup, I would guess maybe an hour of their time at most, maybe even only half an hour so suggest you a) ask them straight up how much time it will take them to implement.. and make them an offer accordingly.
