Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Neve] It’s a pityI agree with the other posters here, and on the other threads relating to this.
We all understand that the Free versions of themes may be feature limited, when compared to Pro/Paid versions, and that is perfectly reasonable.
It is NOT reasonable to quietly REMOVE features from the free version, potentially breaking site formatting at the same time.
Neve is a hugely popular theme, for good reasons – doing what you’ve done to try to force people down the Pro/Paid route is not the way to build customer trust or engagement. You should consider re-instating the functionality you’ve removed and use more positive methods to improve take-up of the pro version.

In reply to: [Spacious] Sub-menus loadedHi Rajesh,
Thanks – I’ll have to arrange to re-enable the css etc I have commented out. Do you have a support email address I can communicate with off-line?

In reply to: [Spacious] Sub-menus loadedConfirming same sub-menu issue with 1.6.6.
I had some custom css but even commenting that out didn’t completely fix the sub-menu appearing/remaining on page. I ‘switched off’ the sub-menu using css example provided in the other thread relating to this issue.
Switching off the sub-menu or reverting to 1.6.5 aren’t ideal solutions but may have to in the short term.
Any word on a resolution/update to fix this issue please?

In reply to: Upgrading from 4.3.19Thanks for the response and tips.
I will use either classic editor or disable gutenberg. Good call about installing the downgrade plugin and i’ll have a look at wapuu.
thanks again – will try and update this thread with an update.

In reply to: [Mesmerize] Inner Page hero image on mobileany feedback/update from the developers would be good.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Mesmerize] Inner Page hero image on mobileSome more info for the mesmerize support guys:
This is the code causing the issue – in inc\header-options\background=options\background-type\image.php – around line 100.
<style type="text/css" data-name="custom-mobile-image"> /*Custom mobile image*/ <?php if($bgImageMobile): ?> @media screen and (max-width: 767px) { .custom-mobile-image:not(.header-slide) { background-image: url(<?php echo esc_url_raw( $bgImageMobile) ?>) !important; } <?php endif; ?> }
This where the mobile hero image on inner pages gets (incorrectly) set back to the default image, overriding the feature image.
I can comment this out and confirm it then works correctly, but needs a more permanent fix.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Mesmerize] Inner Page hero image on mobileThis seems to be the culprit. If you inspect the element, you can see there is a css override where screen width less than 767px, which forces the ‘default’ header to be used…
@media screen and (max-width: 767px) .custom-mobile-image:not(.header-slide) { background-image: url(https://***redacted***/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/default-header-image-01.jpg) !important; }
Not sure where this comes from, may be some one from mesmerize can advise?

In reply to: [Mesmerize] Inner Page hero image on mobileHi,
thanks for your response.
It’s on all inner pages. I have a ‘default’ inner hero image specified, and also have checked the ‘use feature image if available’ option.
It works fine on desktop, but on mobile (and just shrinking the browser size on a desktop does the same thing) the default hero image gets displayed, even when there is a feature image for that page.
It’s a staging site, so I can’t post a direct link – i can send you a link via email so you can see for yourself, but it’s on all inner pages and i’ve explained the problem above. Other people have reported it and it’s probably quite easily reproduceable…
thanks

In reply to: [Mesmerize] Header Images for inner pages on MobileI have the same issue.
For inner page hero, I have a ‘default’ header image specified, and have ticked the option to ‘use feature image if available’.
Works fine on desktop, and displays the correct header for each page, but on a mobile device it always shows the default header rather than the feature image…

In reply to: [Customizr] Main menu appearing vertically in Microsoft EdgeThanks @poinsy. It does appear to be an issue with the theme, which is being looked at. I have temporarily worked around it by switching to a hamburger/slide-in style menu. Will update further if I get a resolution to this. I might also try the TopNav solution.

In reply to: [Customizr] Main menu appearing vertically in Microsoft EdgeI am having the exact same problem. Menu appears fine in Chrome and Opera, but is broken/displays vertically in Internet Explorer and Edge.
Please advise re: workaround/timeline for a fix.
thanks

In reply to: [Jigoshop] Variable Products – stock/inventory issueHi guys,
so – what’s the situation here? My understanding is that Jigoshop only offer free support through these forums.
Is there somewhere/someone at Jigoshop I should be directing my un-resolved problem to?
thanks
