Thanks, Andrew! Between your suggestions above and a few tweaks I made to the height of the slideshow images in MetaSlider, I was able to get the homepage to look the way I want it to look! Marking the status on this as resolved.
Problem solved by changing the theme from Twenty-Twenty to Vantage.
Hi! Thanks for your response. After I posted my question here, I did some more research and found out it was necessary to add a Meta Slider widget to my list of displayed widgets, which I had not done. I did that and the slider is now showing on the homepage.I’ll mark this as solved.
Thanks for your help! Much appreciated!
Thanks for your response! So, should I add the script by logging into the Control Panel of my website and add it there somewhere? If so, where? Is there a different plugin that might be better suited to doing this than the one I previously used?
Regarding getElementByID, should I replace r-embed-script with the location onto which I want to place the form? Also, clicking on the link in the above original post brings up the giving form, so do I really need to add the JavaScript? OneRealm recommends it, but I’m a JavaScript novice and I’d like to make adding the form as simple as possible.
Sorry if I’m misunderstanding something. Thanks!

In reply to: [SiteAlert (Formerly WP Health)] Essential If You Have a WordPress Web SiteI can’t think of anything, Frank. It’s a great plugin!
Hi,
Just a followup to report that my problem with the slow UpdraftPlus backups appears to be resolved. I went to Expert Settings–>Show Expert Settings and under the section labeled “Split Archives Every”, I reduced the size from 100 MB to 25 MB. I then ran a backup and it took slightly less than an hour…an improvement considering the backups I did before that took 1 1/2-2 hours to complete.
Hi,
I checked my DropBox settings and it says I’ve used 21.38 GB of 1 TB.
Problem solved by deleting the cache on a plugin.

In reply to: [Maintenance Mode] Maintenance Plugin ProblemsNever mind. I solved the problem through deleting my cached files.
Count me among the church web site administrators who is frustrated with some features of CalPress. We usually have choir practice on Thursday nights and I set up a repeating event on Thursday nights for this. In reviewing this past Sunday’s bulletin, it turns out we’re not having choir practice on one particular Thursday in March 2014. It would be nice to be able to just delete this one event–especially since I know some people will complain about it being there–but I don’t see a way to just delete one occurrence in CalPress without deleting all the other occurrences in the process. Annoying!

In reply to: Page Update Doesn't Appear on Front EndSorry for the delayed response! I solved the problem. It turns out the page wasn’t in the front page menu under Appearances->Menus. Since adding it, it now appears. Thanks for the suggestions!
