So far I have tried wp_options and tried the site with https:// and without it and I’ve found it needs https:// to load so I have verified that this is correct on wp_config and also the database.
I have tried disabling the plugins which made no difference same with various other methods with no luck so far.

I’ve had my host restore my site from a backup and now the website is showing correctly from the backup but I still have a problem.

The site that viewers see is fine and exact to the backup. The trouble is I cannot access the admin. They said it’s been changed from /wp-admin to /wp-admin.php but I’ve found /wp-login.php is the one that gets me a login screen.

So I login and I then get a page saying
This webpage has a redirect loop
    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Then just out of curiosity I go to the website and I’m logged in, I can navigate around the website but only as a viewer, I still cannot access the dashboard, if I try to access the dashboard I then get the redirect loop page again.

I have just tried /wp-login.php which allowed me to login but then told me
This webpage has a redirect loop
    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

So just out of curiosity I thought to just take a look at the website and find that I’m logged in as admin but still can’t access my dashboard. Instead it goes back to telling me,
This webpage has a redirect loop
    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Please help, this is frustrating, I’m not the most tech savvy person.

Wish mine was all working properly, I’m still left with that whitescreen where I can’t access anything.
I just tried going to url.com/wp-admin/install.php and it says already installed wordpress. to reinstall please clear your old database tables first. I log in and still whitescreen.

    Hi Tara,
Yes that would be the guide I followed, only I couldn’t do step 3 as I couldn’t access it. I’ve worked my way through the Login trouble guide and tried removing the plugins the way they say but it didn’t change anything and neither did removing the themes.
I’m sure what I’ve missed is something simple that is going to bite me on the nose any minute.

I have tried using my backups with no luck. I still cannot access anything on the admin side of my website. I can’t access any updates, plugins or anything, I can click on it, but it won’t take me to that page. All I can see is everything over on the left as per normal, and then the rest is white and telling me to update to version 4.2.4

I’m sorry but what am I changing in wp-includes\version.php ?

Yes an error message comes up, it says An error occurred in the upload, please try again later.

Not only that but customers cannot click on and view entries on Spider Calendar, Gallery Bank or Photo Gallery. The images just won’t load or with Gallery Bank they half load at the bottom of the screen and move down further when I try to scroll down to view them.

It is as though all my media is shutting down.
