I’ve noticed others posting similar problems, (visual editor not functioning, editor is narrow in width, etc.) This leads me to ask a question. Is there a way to totally replace the editor. I’m guessing there isn’t, but I’m grasping at straws, trying to avoid having to scrap everything on the site and start from scratch.

Well, I’ve tried everything I can think of. The only way I can edit is in text mode and that provides only a narrow column to work in. Three other sites I run, have not had this problem.

If I have to tear it all down and start from scratch, I can guarantee I will strip out the code that permits automatic updates and maintain a strict, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, policy.

No joy. The problem persisted with 2014.

The theme is Gabfire’s Advanced Newspaper. I deactivated all the plugins, but the problem persisted. I checked the theme developer’s forum, but no one there has reported a similar problem with this theme.

The site was broken. I rebuilt it from scratch. Not the plugin’s fault.

Thank you, again. That did the trick.

I think I’ll leave things alone, now. Not feeling terribly confident, at the moment.

Thank you. I will mention that to the theme’s developer and see if I can get further information.

Sorry, I took the buttons off because of the problem. I had hoped someone might have encountered a similar problem and might have found a solution.

    Thanks for the reply.

I recently rethemed and reconfigured my site and have been in the process of reactivating things, including Quick Cache. I’ve only noticed one anomaly that I haven’t seen before. The flush cache notification doesn’t seem to want to go away, so I’m checking with a non-logged in browser to see how soon it sees new content.

I’ll monitor it and if I see a problem when the cache reaches its TTL, I’ll have to modify my review.

I don’t like living in a world where plugins can’t get along. I’ll post how it goes. And yes, I’m a bit concerned that the plugin doesn’t seem to be supported, any longer.

I haven’t tried that, but I have tried 4 browsers. It worked in Chrome and Safari, but not IE or Firefox.

I found where the problem is, but don’t have a solution, yet.

The theme I use has a mobile theme. When I checked the site on my phone, the Disqus option was visible and worked fine. But so far, I’ve tried another theme, but no joy.

I’ve got the same problem. Everything else works like a charm.

Even tried looking at the help documents on disqus.com. Didn’t get to far, because the link there is wrong. It would be nice to have this functionality, but I suppose I can live without it.
