In the homepage it might be showing, the excerpt of your blog. That is why it is not showing the share buttons on your homepage.

If is not the case please share your site url, so that we can debug the issue. If it’s in the development stage, you can send it to srijith[at]addthis.com

If you need to manually add the widget(), you can put it in the header.php or footer.php file of your theme.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with the plugin.

Share buttons on the posts can be added to your site without any manual coding. Only thing you needed is to link your wordpress site with Addthis and can easily add the share buttons through Addthis Dashboard.

Currently the buttons cannot be shown in the pages. We are looking to add the toolbox to more places, which will solve your issue.

For the second site could you please check the Addthis Dashboard that you have configured it to show the toolbox on post pages? Please be sure that you have navigated to Addthis dashboard through the wordpress settings page.

There are few javascript errors showing from farm4.staticflickr.com in your site. So can you check the issue exists after disabling the responsible plugin?

We have also tried to reproduce your issue with some free themes available. Unfortunately we are unable to reproduce it. So if you have the theme, you can send it to debug the issue. You can send it to srijith[AT]addthis.com

If you have a dev/test version of the site, can you pass the details to srijith[at]addthis.com? There are few js errors in your site from Facebook Like, so if you can deactivate the responsible plugin and try AddThis to see if the issue persists?

From our latest version, you can easily control your share buttons from the Addthis site Dashboard.

From the wordpress admin Addthis settings page, click the blue button(To control your AddThis plugins, click here →). You will be redirected to Addthis site dashboard. From the page select your tool(For example Sharing Buttons, Original Sharing Buttons). You will have an option to select the positions you like to have your buttons as below.

Custom Sharing Buttons is a PRO Feature.
For the Native Buttons you can place your own images by simply using the img tag, like:

<a class="addthis_button_compact"><img src="your-image-source"</a>

Flat icons with same color is a paid feature.

You need to put your images in a publicly accessible location (create a folder images in your root directory).

Then in your wordpress admin section go to addthis settings page(Settings->Addthis Share).
Select custom button from the sharing tool and add your required buttons to the textarea as shown:

<img src=”https://your-site-url/images/file-name.png”&gt;
</div>’

Save the settings.

Hi,

In the mentioned posts, we cant find the addthis widget js file(s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-5362ae52612873ac) added.

But in all other posts, its added with the following comment.
“<!– Addthis custom hard-coded into index.php –> <!– the_content(); vs. the_excerpt(); –>”

Please check if there is any difference with other posts.
