I would suggest you to simply override that .clearfix class in your theme’s style.css, if you add:

.clearfix{float: none; clear:none;}

That should fix it.

It is a Softaculous WP 3.6 with Spanish language installed, no other plugins installed since I was only testing the plugin in a fresh WP installation.

Ok I’ve seen what was happening, not this template’s fault!

When you install qTranslate there is an option checked by default: not to show content not available for the current language. So as Slides post types are not considered translatable content by qTranslate they weren’t showing up.
