In reply to: [IP2Location Country Blocker] Worked for about 5 minutesI see that my own IP address is marked as blacklisted on both the front end and the back end. If I remove it and log out I can’t log in again. If I disable the plugin via FTP and log in, then reactivate the plugin I see that my IP address is blacklisted again. What could be causing this? Thanks.

In reply to: [IP2Location Country Blocker] Sorry, your nonce did not verify. It happens when I try to set the blocking on both the front end and the back end. I’m trying to block all countries except the US.

In reply to: [IP2Location Country Blocker] Worked for about 5 minutesThanks for the reply. I cleared the cache and deleted the plugin. Your plugin still isn’t working, so that’s not the problem. I have it set to block all countries except the US. I’m in the US and it’s blocking me. What could be the cause?

In reply to: [IP2Location Country Blocker] Worked for about 5 minutesp.s. We were using the W3 Total Cache plugin but I cleared the cache and deleted it. IDK if there is anything else I can do regarding that. I currently have it set to only block the back end. If I need to get into the back end I have to disable it via FTP.

In reply to: [Easy Hide Login] Worked for one dayThanks. I didn’t know that the new URL would show. Removing the link fixed the problem, and it was easy to do.

In reply to: [Easy Hide Login] Worked for one dayI did. At first I only had your plugin. I added the second one today after having the problem with yours.
I think that removing the admin link from the sidebar will essentially solve the problem because the standard admin link doesn’t work with your plugin activated, and they would have no way to guess what the new login URL is. The main problem with your plugin was that it made the admin link in the sidebar show the new URL, which defeats the purpose.

I edited the sidebar menu so the admin link isn’t on there anymore.
Today I added a country blocker plugin (ip2location country blocker) because we have been getting a lot of hacking attempts. Right now I have the admin blocked for all countries except the US. I’m in the US and it’s blocking me, so that’s another problem. I posted about that as well. It’s actually ok if all countries are blocked because I can deactivate the plugin via FTP. I just really need to stop the hacking attempts.
Thank you

In reply to: Can’t change admin emailI also see that the plugin site for WordPress Firewall 2 brings up a 404 error so I assume that it’s no longer being supported and will replace it.

In reply to: Can’t change admin emailThanks. WordPress Firewall 2 was causing it on one site. Wordfence Security on the other one.

In reply to: 5.2.1 sites not workingThanks Steven. These are old sites. I don’t maintain websites for a living anymore. I used to be very active in the WordPress community.

In reply to: 5.2.1 sites not workingOk. On the other site I also had to get rid of the Like plugin by Bottomless and the Sociable plugin from Blogplay. All fixed now. Thanks.

In reply to: 5.2.1 sites not workingOk. Deleting Statpress SEOlution from both sites fixed one of them. The other one is not showing the error message anymore but still has a problem. I will keep at it.
