I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had issues! In our WP 5.7 testing, we didn’t catch the missing save button. Since that WP update went out overnight, we have a fix in place for a release today.

For the upload issue, you mentioned you would let us know if the problem continued, but I don’t see a follow up from you. Are you still having this issue? If you are, we would really appreciate it if you can let us know. We take bugs seriously, and fix issues as quickly as possible, especially when they affect multiple sites.

I just reviewed your past tickets, and it seems that a lot of them were conflicts with custom code and some plugin conflicts with certain setups.

I hope you can give us another chance, and not hold a back-end incompatibility with a brand new WP version against us!!!

It sounds like you may have missed a few options. Paid mode will need to be turned on in order to add any payments (manual or otherwise). Perhaps you can ask questions of our support team before sharing a review for the features you didn’t find?

But of course, there will also be paid features that are not in the free version, but the free version is definitely not limited.

As a fairly new owner of this plugin, I just want to let you know that we see the same problems with taking a lot of work to make the directory look pretty. Over the past few months, we have been working on getting a good base in place so we can then create themes that are easier to maintain.

There is a ton to do. We’ve been working on organizing the settings little by little, and improving the out-of-the-box experience. We will definitely be updating the paid themes as well, but as much as we wish it, we can’t do everything at once.

I hope you won’t give up on us as we work toward improving the plugin. It won’t happen overnight, but it is happening.

I’m afraid I’m not sure what you’re talking about. What reviews are you seeing that look like they may be from our team? I can assure you all reviews are from our plugin users. But I would like to see what reviews you are referring to that may be confusing.

We released an update for this before you reported it actually. Once you update to v4.09.04 the issue will be resolved.

In the future, please contact us directly for issues with the premium version. We aren’t allowed to provide support for the premium plugins here.

@tracedef thanks for the update. Technically, HTML is allowed, but anything suspicious is removed. So the image isn’t anything alarming.

Sorry for the trouble! We are actually working on a new way to protect from spam in the next release. Unfortunately, the most commonly used spam protection options are also the most targeted for spammers to find ways around them. Also, human spammers are very difficult to stop.

Personally, I really like the Akismet integration with Formidable. The comment blacklist is helpful too. You can add any common characters or words in there too to stop the human spammers too.

But we are also working on improving this out of the box.

You’re welcome! Your report was a huge help to get this fixed fast. The issue was with php versions lower than 7.3. If you can update the php version on your site, that would be best.
