I have fixed it, please update the plugin

I might have solved this with ‘woocommerce_sale_flash’ woocommerce hook, but it only works in product loop for some reason. So i have added the css

.onsale{
display:none;
}

and works fine. But please stay aware of that in case you need the default sale icon back any day in the future.

You’re right, and i have to find a more elegant solution for this… maybe i should draw the ribbon with canvas, avoiding the ‘rectangle’ containing the ribbon.
