still, back to the original question, i’d like to know how to move the sidebar over so it’s more centered within the white space between the story text and where the striped background begins. this is not a block quote question.

i don’t think the block quote is the issue, i took out the width and it’s exactly the same. if you look at some of the other pages on my site you can see it too. or maybe i’m the only one bugged by it lol.

i guess i fixed it by adding the < br / > tag to insert a line break instead of letting it automatically do it.

also strange is that with the new fix that I found the < br / > tag doesn’t work if you have more than one line of text so i’ve had to limit mine to 1 line captions (only on the albums) so it looks right.

i think it’s something really simple like a line of code in the functions or gallery.php but i can’t figure it out.

actually that didn’t work…because now my galleries won’t render. but nice idea anyway.
if you don’t use galleries on pages i guess it would work. but i use the galleries on pages for my portfolio.
the albums i use for my photography and random stuff.

ah thank you that worked! i guess the only thing to do is just backup all the changes and reload after doing future updates unless anyone else has a better idea of how to keep the settings with upgrades.

aaah! yippy! that worked! i could have sworn i tried that combination earlier but it was probably the pesky space interfering.

now if i could just figure out how to get my custom google font to show up on my child theme headers i’ll be a happy camper lol!

i’ve tried using firebug to find out which code controls it but it won’t highlight with firebug. and the code i tried above isn’t working.

one more quick question if i may…how would i put a repeated image behind the colored area where the white is?

good call on tumblr…i had just looked at the source code on the page and had myself wondered if it was indeed a wordpress theme or tumblr.

it’s probably a custom theme. presswork instapress theme looks kinda similar.
