Arras 1.4.3 beta 1 does support NGG now.
However, it is sad to tell that as NGG only creates ONE thumbnail for one image, it is not possible to use the Arras slideshow and featured news together as they normally have different sizes.
I wonder if NGG could create manny thumbnails of different sizes for the same image.

This is actually also what I want to know.

Does NGG support multiple thumnails with different sizes for one image, like WordPress’s Media Gallery?

I’m afraid it is not possile though…

So it’s also my wish to add this feature in the next release of NextGen

Thankfully I find some frustrated fellows like me around.
I posted this issue yesterday but with no response. I totally agree with owenkelly, while WYSIWYG is fine, the code should be INTACT whose meaning relies here. The idea behind doing some “code purification” is reasonable, but an option to disable it should also be provided always.
This issue should be “officially fixed” ASAP or WP will become more ridiculous while its reputation has fallen down a bit with the release of 2.1.

I have checked my configuration and confirmed that it is NOT there (or at least not visible now). A friend showed me where it should be but I didn’t find it in my admin panel. So strange here. It seems that 2.1 is not fully tested, I have to say.

I also encountered this problem. I had “rich text editor” option off in version 2.07. After I updated to 2.1 the so-called new tab interface was not available then. I check the user profile section but resulted in vain. There was nowhere to find the checkbox/option. Furthermore I’m afraid I can’t agree with the “anyone who turns it off wants it off”. It is true that he would like to turn it off for a while for some reason such as incompatibility but probably NOT FOR EVER. It should be put in a place more likely to be found. Finally I still could NOT find the option anywhere.
