Well, ok. I figured it out. The Rich Text Excerpts plugin works just fine. It was the Showbiz Carousel css that was overlaying the Rich Text code.

Solved. We were hacked.

thanks for your reply! I didn’t want to create a new menu because the site I inherited is a house of cards. There didn’t seem to be a way to do what should be easy except by installing this plug-in https://scottnelle.com/simple-301-redirects-plugin-for-wordpress/ which is so far working well.

Having the same problem here. I simply need to replace a link in our menu with an external link. Isn’t this possible?

oops, I see this plugin is only good to versions older than 3.5.
