    Hi Peter:

I am afraid I had no success in the end. I had the same results as you (well except occasionally it would produce a random link) and gave up on it. I am afraid that I resorted to the old html code in an ul and hard coding each newsletter in. It’s a bit of a pain considering I am sure these links are automatically generated but I can’t get mailpoet to provide them. Shame, otherwise a pretty nice plugin.

I happen to be looking at this just now. I really don’t understand why mailpoet doesn’t just provide an archive that you can review your old newsletters in. It is a royal pain to try to find a link to the newsletter and try to keep track of those links constantly. If there were an archive that all mailed went into it would be much easier.

My bad. I created the archive widget myself using the shortcode and a small script. That was not my main issue. What I was trying to say is you should have an archive widget.

As for the shortcode itself, it’s not that it totally doesn’t work. It does something but not what I would think the intention is.

    Using the shortcode

    [mailpoet_archive]

    Produces

    This

If I hack around a bit I can get it to show the newsletter linked as in

Newsletter is linked as you can see in the shot.

I would think the second is how it is intended to work. I could be wrong, since I don’t see the forums filled with questions about this it either means I am the only one who is interested in this or I have done something wrong to create this issue. Any guidance would be appreciated.
