I originally had this in a text widget, but switched it to an custom html widget a couple of years ago. With the last update to WP, the custom html widget is not functioning as before, so by switching back to the text widget, it resolved the issue.

I’m pretty sure it had something to do with the push to block editor, as this problem arose after it was forcing it into widget editing.

Thanks Animesh! I’ve tried all of the standard WP troubleshooting – deactivated plugins, changed themes, etc… but the problem persists. The shortcode and parameters displays without be executed. You can see it in widget-1 (left) of the footer.

I did have some hiccups after the last WP update where it was attempting to use the block editor for widgets. I managed to turn off the block editor, but it seems that this problem sprang up as a result.

Never figured out what the cause of this problem was, but was apparently caused by an update in WordPress or to the theme. I worked around the problem by putting a favicon at the root level.

Turned out to only be occurring in Chrome and it’s because of some new changes.

Turned out to be the result of some custom CSS that I recently added.

UPDATE: I enabled the templates and checked out the page. The page came up, but the alignment was off. So I disabled it and voilà, the page came up perfectly.

I guess I’ll consider this closed, but don’t know what happened really.

Never mind! I apparently over-rode it with custom CSS and forgot about it!

By creating a brand new Twitter Developer account with no prior activity, I was able to fairly quickly get approved with the new account on the new developer platform and created the necessary app with required keys, secrets, tokens, etc.

Hey there duralcelltomi, yes I’m using w3 Total Cache plugin and no, it’s not a multisite install. I’ve gone through the process of disabling plugins, then re-enabling one by one, clearing cache, etc… The problem seems to have gone away.

We can mark this as resolved, though I don’t know how it was resolved LOL

Problem seems to have gone away. Must have been a hiccup of some sort!
