In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Tops posts and pages widgetAll I did was go make myself a sandwich LOL and when I returned to my PC, ran the diagnostic mentioned in your post – I received this:
Everything looks great!
All tests have passed for amazoniabookshoppe.com and your Jetpack powered site looks good to go! If you’re still experiencing trouble working with Jetpack, please check out the following resources:I noticed that there is a new release of Jetpack (5.7.1) currently being installed on my sites, perhaps that had something to do with this particular hiccup?
Anyway, everything seems to be working okay, I now have 3 top posts in the widget.
I’ll go ahead and mark this as “resolved”.
Thanks for the assistance Cena!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Tops posts and pages widgetI’ve stabilized my site which is now https://amazoniabookshoppe.com but the problem with the “top posts and pages widget” still persists. It’s been several days so I really don’t think it’s a caching issue.
Thanks for the help!
Finally got resolution! The valid certificate furnished for my apex domains is from cloudflare. The wildcard (*) A record doesn’t provide sub-domains with an SSL certificate in the CF DSN settings, thus, a unique A record must be created for each sub-domain, which then enables it to be secured.
Just wanted to post this to perhaps help someone else using Cloudflare in addition to this great plugin!
Marked as “resolved”.
To further point out the security issue – https://fundament.cognitive-design.org/ – the browser indicates that the certificate is invalid though I ran the site through online validators such as SSL Checker that say its valid.
Thanks!

I’ve been using both Cloudflare and W3 Total Cache for a number of years and it’s been in the past that you can implement CF either through W3 Total Cache OR through CF itself. I’ve always bypassed the W3 Total Cache approach and it never caused problems until recently when the cdnfsd logic was modified.
In summary, my advice is to turn off the “cdnfsd enabled” switch by updating master.php (as mentioned in the prior posts) and make sure you don’t have the cloudflare extension activated (found in the EXT options at the bottom of the performance options in W3 Total Cache).
Then, go to your Cloudflare account and make sure your nameservers are using the ones assigned by them.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Tops posts and pages widgetThanks for helping Cena,
The support thread mentioned is https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/popular-posts-not-working-after-update/ .
Also, since I posted this morning, I’ve been tinkering w/Cloudfront (now enabled) and trying to iron out implementing SSL (more headaches but that’s another thread), so my current setup is not really stable at the moment. I do believe that the problem could be because my cache is being wiped out and it takes time for the stats to re-build.
At least, that’s what I’m thinking right now. Nevertheless, I do appreciate your looking into it – 4 eyes are better than 2!
Thanks cbrandt,
Yeah, GTMetrix is what started this entire escapade. Perhaps I shouldn’t worry about the page speed, after all, if it’s “working”, no need to “fix it” right? Will attempt your advice but it sure would be nice to have this plugin working like it should. I’ve got over a dozen sites using W3 Total Cache, I’ll stick with em!
Was able to circumvent the problem by using the previously described techniques, thanks you guys for that! However, this is getting to be problematic – my site, which is getting the most traffic, is scoring in 30% range in page speed. I decided to buddy up with a cdn, cloudfront being my choice. Trying to hook it up though, the old problems with this plugin have resurrected. When I deactivate the W3 Total Cache plugin, everything is even worse.
Alas, woe is me!
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated – site is fusion-culinaire.com

I was able to fix my problem by resetting to default and then selecting all of the options again. It seems that I had inadvertently set CDN to true by importing settings from another site and when I deselected it, it apparently didn’t save it in the database properly. I thought it strange that the module prompting the error was Cdn_Core.php since I’m not using a CDN other than cloudflare.
Perhaps our problems are similar but not exactly the same but you may give it a try!
Good luck!

Same here, I’m following this to see what comes of it. Meanwhile, I’m doing some additional research and will post if I come up with something.

In reply to: [Ajaxify Wordpress Site(AWS)] 404 not found after ajax content loadOkay, it could be a caching issue/slow connection with my local environment. We’ll consider it resolved.
Thanks for looking at it!
