In reply to: Recreate network site from standalone blogJan, thank you for your response! I thought I had this thread set to notify me upon new comments, but noticed your response after I had already done what you have prescribed. No doubt “we” are definitely using the best approach because I’ve made considerable progress today. One thing that was hanging me up, was that it took several hours for the server to iron out all of the details with sub-domains not allocated by the WordPress network installation.
I was able to re-create my old blog “stand-alone” and created a new WXR. Though this project will never be completely done, this thread can be considered resolved.
Thanks for your input!

In reply to: [Wiki] [Plugin: Wiki] Convert existing wiki posts for use in this pluginThanks for the advice, I’m checking out the plugin you suggested but I may just leave my wiki as it is since I’m not getting much use out of it anymore – not getting any traffic on it either.
I’ve been working some other endeavors so I probably “re-visit” this later on. I will update this thread should I make any headway down the road.
Thanks again for the reply!

In reply to: [MimeTypes Link Icons] [Plugin: MimeTypes Link Icons] plugin conflict or bugEven though I’ve had your plugin installed for a while, I’ve never really seen it in action yet because I haven’t encountered the circumstances to invoke it yet. By “clashing”, I only mean that it prevents the play button for mp3 links (WPaudio functionality) from appearing. I guess it’s really not an issue with your plugin but with the WPaudio plugin since yours “Trumps” the other.
I brought it up here to see if maybe someone else had encountered it.
You seem to stay on-top of your work! I wish the other guy would.

Anyone else had this?

In reply to: Google Maps embedding is NOT working for meI’m assuming this topic is still open. I just resolved that same problem in my blog. Turns out, the WordTwit plugin was the culprit, so you may check that out.
Otherwise, good luck.

Thanks esmi!
Making progress with help from BP forums per your advice.
Facebook comments plugin collided with onswipe, by disabling the facebook plugin, the onswipe “swipe” screen now appears though the cover image functionality doesn’t seem to want to work. This is also the case in the wordpress.com version.
BTW, my theme is Twenty Ten child.
I’m running WP 3.1.2 and the plugin appeared to work initially (using Safari with user agent set to iPad) but now only shows the home page without the custom CSS.
On my wordpress.com blogs, onswipe seems to work fine.
My self-hosted is https://blog.stephendowell.com
Any ideas?

In reply to: Jetpack Gravatar Hovercards: Self HostingThe rating settings in the gravatar may have some effect on this, I’ve got mine set to G in blog discussion settings. It seems to work with any authors or commentors that are set-up with gravatars. Twenty-Ten Child seems to be AOK. Sorry I can’t help more.

In reply to: Jetpack Gravatar Hovercards: Self HostingEverything now seems to be running fine for my Twenty-Ten child theme. It just took time for the kinks to get worked out.

In reply to: Jetpack Gravatar Hovercards: Self HostingI am experiencing same problem, though I didn’t disable my hovercard. It was working for the first 5 to 10 minutes, but now it doesn’t. Nor does the site stats part of jetpack. I think it only worked long enough for the bad code to work itself into my cache. Everything was fine with the wordpress.com site stats but I, like you, switched to jetpack to limit the total number of plugins in use. I’m still researching.
Updated with the latest version and everything seems to be great! I do have a question/concern about wiki feed functionality. I’ll get back to you later on that.
Thx!
