Hi Matthew, thanks for your advice. I have now enabled billing for the project but sadly still no joy. Can you let me know how I can see the error read out that you are seeing ? And if you can help narrow down the problem again that would be amazing

Nope, it’s not saving Organizer for one of my events. Sorry – if you could suggest anything else that would be helpful. ta

(just to clarify I was able to change the memory allocation in wp-config, but I didn’t try doing so in the php.ini file (it’s a sub site – there was no php.ini in that folder(?). Also didn’t change the htaccess file as it didn’t explain where or how to add the code.

Hello – thanks for getting back to me.

I followed the instructions – activated 2016, deactivated all plugins, but the problem described above still persisted.

I wonder if the plugin got corrupted when I moved hosts recently?

This is not resolved – I tried fixing it with the php you suggested but it didn’t work.

To be precise, the event edit page does not let me save an organizer from the drop down list… It lets me select one ok – but when I go to save it it forgets it and goes back to the greyed out neutral option at the top of the list.

I have got the exact same issue – can you have a look at my site please?

The more pressing issue is that it screw up the map because it floats in the wrong place.

Thanks Brook – that’s very illuminating. I think I will continue to muddle through hacking away at the code without knowning wth I’m doing. Such is life! best wishes

I think I’ve found the file to mess around with the fields on the list view:

plugins>the events calendar>views>list>single-event.php

then I need to create the folder in: wp-content>themes>(your theme)>tribe-events>list

And then stick the php file in there.
