for some reason that I do not know, the file wp-config.php was blank.
Unfortunately I realized that AFTER downloading it again to my computer and editing (I wanted to activate the debugging script).
After some searching, I found an older (but still working) copy of that file on my pendrive… so the site is again working.
I will have to check if all the functionality are still there, but at least… no more blank pages! ??
